I really like Google Earth. I think it so cool to be able to "travel" the world like that. Some of those satellite images are amazing. I can only image what the government has...

O man it is great. When I first got it I had so much fun. I was a total nerd burger ! I was having fun like I was five again, cruising all around finding some island in the middle of the ocean and zooming in check it out.
Than I would play a game trying to figure out when a given town was photographed. I was looking for clues. Its really hard. You try to find where yuor car is parked or like something that is only open on a certain day and see if cars are there. Everyone should try that its really fun.
I also liked to see if I could find any airplanes which I did taking off from airports. I was unable to find one at full altitude.
Yea so the government supposed to be able to pick up newspaper print and also have infared to be able to pick up body heat. So imagine if your on the run how hard it would be to get away. They just follow you all over by camera.
Another cool thing is find area 51 and look all over its so crazy how big that place is. And the runway is the biggest in the USA. Also they have all these crazie roads leading off in all different mountains.
Its weird finding some stuff like there was some odd race track way way out in the middles of no where I guess come to find out its where GM,etc test the new cars without publics eye. I wish I had my old links I could give you long/lat to zoom in. There are some great msg boards on the subject though.

It's great. It has even found some new places.
Also a statue that was in a village for a long time was found it looked like a Hitler's cross, so they started rebuilding it.
Fantastic.
some people say it invades privacy, but it doesn't because the pics are not that recent and important buildings are cloaked.
also the pics, don't just look straight down but a bit from the side as well! First time ever a satellite could do this I think.

I really enjoy playing with it, and I've used it on occasion to help my son with his homework. However, what I find a bit ironic and annoying is the fact that even though I can look at Havana Cuba and Pyongyang Korea in great detail, I cannot see my own neighborhood worth a dang because I live in an area of potential strategic importance (Key West FL). The powers that be in our government have somehow lowered the resolution of American strategic locations to the point where when you enlarge enough to make out some semblance of detail, all you get is a blur.

Yeah I use it all the time when I am traveling somewhere that I an not familiar. It's good to see everything visually first. I wish the satellite images were updated more frequently though.

Google earth is very imaging but it only shows you the static pictures and u need to have a fast connection and and good monitor. You can only image what the government has because it is prone to malpractice.

It's cool but the pictures there are a bit old. I bet law enforcement uses it before they bust someone or raid some bad guys property.

yeah.. its is definitely cool, can see my house too hahha...and u can travel around the world within it heheh....
there will be another web like google earth but with more function called Arcglobe by ESRI will be launched in a few months i think...

It's pretty cool but they only upgrade the pictures every now and then so when I try and look at my house, I see a construction site.

so if your point of about Google net I don't know about it much may be reason is my english is not enough to enjoy it but I pereapare yahoo to any others on line just like that we can enjoy good guestions and good answer and share some thing together although not face to face its cool for me .

I love Google Earth! It is so much fun! I can see cars in parking lots. I hope it gets better where we can see people and more gound detail.
