chaniann,
You are reading far too much into my qn. Perhaps I phrased it wrongly. I haven't a clue as to whether reform jews are true to Judaism or not. I guess I phasd it the way I did because I assumed that Orthodox Judaism came before Reform Judaism. I am neither Reform or Orthodox and am not even Jewish.

Interesting question. Mostly, Orthodox Jews do not recognize the reform movement at all. However, a jew is a jew wherever he/she chooses to worship.
The difficult bit comes with people who convert. Under Halacha (Jewish law), a reform conversion is incorrect and therefore totally valueless. So, an orthodox convert might start to worship in a reform Synagogue but a reform convert would not be permitted to have any part in an orthodox service. As far as the orthos are concerned, that person is a gentile. Also, a reform convert could not marry an orthodox jew (convert or born) under orthodox law. Similarly, he or she could not be buried in an orthodox cemetry.
In terms of making Aliyah (emigrating to Israel and taking citizenship) - it makes no difference at all, but that's a matter of civil law, not religious law.

Many Orthodox Jews don't consider them to be real Jews. The less stringent sects, however, do. I, for instance, am a member of the Conservative sect of Judaism. I think that they are as Jewish as any other Jews. In fact, I do not know of anyone in my synagogue who has ever considered Reform Jews to be anything other than Jews.

Evidently you do not. You seem to think that Reform Jews are not Jews, since you ask this question to ''Jews''.
