Find a surgeon in the same specialty - a very good method is to talk with a medical person in your community whom you know personally (for instance, a nurse you know from church) Call the surgeon's office. Say that you want an appointment to obtain a second opinion. Check with your insurance company on how (or whether) they reimburse for this sort of service. They in fact may have a whole procedure for obtaining a second opinion.
