I need to count my pulse and find my rhr for my workout class, but I'm not sure how to count to get the correct pulse.
Do you just press on your neck or wrist and just count down up slowly or do you go by tens?

Neck or wrist, but take your resting heart rate first thing in the morning before getting out of bed, before moving around too much. Count each pulse you feel. You can count for 15 seconds and multiply by 4 or you can count 30 seconds and multiply by 2 or you can even count the whole 60 seconds, in increments of 10 seconds...however you want to do it. I usually do 30 seconds for me because I have an unusual rhythm.

Find your pulse (at your wrist, under your bicep, neck lateral to your adam's apple, inguinal region, for examples). Watch the second hand of your watch. Count each beat for a full 60 seconds or alternatively count for 30 seconds multiply by 2, count 15 seconds and multiply by 4. The result is your resting heart rate. Check your rate in the middle of the day while relaxed - that is, sit in one position for five minutes before taking it. Good luck.

have a long rest first preferably lying down til you heartbeat is normal, use right index and middle finger on your pulse on the left wrist, count for 30 seconds then multiply it by 2 to have correct rate.
