Spend time in the afternoon sun. It will reset your biological clock. Also, before travelling, try to somewhat adjust your sleeping pattern. Healthy air travelling tips, such as staying hydrated, not stressing out too much, and healthy eating, all can contribute to feeling less tired, and thus less likely to suffer from jetlag.

Drink plenty of plain water - the artificial environment of a pressurised cabin dehydrates you, as well as the stress of travelling so far. Arrive well hydrated (alcohol dehydrates you so don't have any during the flight, or even for perhaps 24 hours before you leave) and perhaps get some sleep on your flight if you can. If it's a long flight - which I've never experienced yet but probably will as dad is moving to New Zealand in a couple of weeks : ( - then plenty of reading, or listening to music or audio books on your headphones.

Have a good trip.

I do this everytime....
Whenever you arrive, follow the schedule of that area. If you arrive in the morning, make it your morning. NO MATTER WHAT your body wants it to be.
Let's say you've been awake for the last 15 hours on a flight and you feel like it's your normal bedtime. You arrive at your destination and it's morning and everyone is starting thier day. Do whatever it takes to stay awake that whole day (I know it's hard). Go to sleep when it's time to go to sleep at your destination, not you body's clock.
If you start sleeping when you feel like it and waking up when you want to, you will stay on the schedule of the city you left. That would be jet lag. Sleeping at day and up all night.
Fight the urge to stay on your body's sleep schedule. Get on your destinations schedule as fast as you can. Do what ever you can to stay awake the whole day.
Good luck.

Eat a healthy meal of about 3-4 ounces of protein, green leafy vegetables (other than lettuce), no white veges, and good fat (olive oil is best). Drink about 8-16 ounces of water with the meal. Stay away from caffeine, sugar, sweets, and sodas. Do a snack about 4 hours later with 1-2 ounces of protein, and a fruit or vege. It will help balance your blood sugar, and restore your energy.

slumbering is the terrific thank you to conquer jet lag. Sleep properly previously you get on the airplane. in case you are not getting sufficient sleep previously your flight, jet lag will in basic terms be worse. attempt melatonin. that is not shown, yet many human beings say it works. in case you regulate your slumbering time table previously you go away, that is not somewhat as annoying to regulate once you arrive. the united kingdom is 5 hours earlier to ny, so in case you awaken an hour previously and flow to mattress an hour previously previously you go away for 5 days, you need to in basic terms approximately be adjusted previously you go away, and would have not got any issues once you arrive.

to be honest
do this ans see that I'm right.
when you get to the place where your going to be,then walk for a little bit,yes that's right you need to walk and get your legs feeling better and you body to,this might sound funny but swing your arms while you walk and do a power walk and let the muscles talk to you, then go back to place of chose and then talk a really hot shower,(not bath) and relax standing in the hot water and let it run over you and your legs, this will help you with everything you need to relax.
i wish you good health and a good nights rest

melatonin is good, it resets your body clock. Always check the time the plane lands at your destination. For example when flying to Australia I know I will not have had much sleep so its good to land late at night so i can just sleep. If I landed in the morning it would mess me up for days.

leave a day ealier than planned and sleep. If you can;t do that, try eating something heathy and energizing. Drink some gatorade and take an aspirin. (I like those BC poweders, they have aspirin and caffine and can make you feel so much better). good luck with that.
