I think the basic idea is said in the above answers but I have a couple things to add. One is that you shouldn't scold her when you find the poop because your dog won't know why she's being punished. Dogs respond better to praise not punishment. Second don't rub their nose in it after. All the dog will figure out is that when she does it again she will not come near you and run away from you.

I think the best solution is that you have to catch her while she is pooping and bring her to the area and if any more poop comes out then praise her and give her a treat. Also bring her to the spot before she has to go and make her wait and if she goes praise her for a long time like ten minutes.

One last thing it's easier to teach a dog to pee in one spot than poop, so be patient.

Until you can begin to allow the pup outside time, if possible....this can be frustrating.

At another time of deposit, keep some level of the deposit. and place it on the puppy pads......placing numerous of the puppy pads about......if this does not make it clearer, if have crate - place puppy pad and deposit in with animal - takes time will get drift cos they do not like to have their own personal area dirty or smelly.
