do you know what a oxie moron is its two things that are not alike at all, you said human and the word self confidence, once you have enough relationship and saving knowledge of God and His Word you know not to have confidence in human wisdom, we are living in a life that is dead, that is we live in a world where everyone dies, "GOD so Loved the world that He gave [Jesus gave Himself] so whosoever [you] should BE-LIVE in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life" IF you love me keep my commandments, if you love Him enough to do what He commands you will love Him enough to be in Heaven if not you won't, you are NOT A atheist, of all the knowledge you have no idea what it is or all the knowledge you don't even know where to look for it, can God live there, okay God does live there, now put a rocket, the raw materials in a container, if you shook it up would you get a rocket or would someone have to design it, you were designed by a loving creator, and the laws in the land, are baised on the ten commandments all countrys that have a place where you would want to live have those as the baises for there government, so If they are real so is the rest of it. free bible lessons at www.itiswritten.com God bless you.

I can see you don't understand something, why are you exposing your ignorance? Your self confidence will be your downfall; a Christian's confidence is in God, not self. In the future, you are going to be very disappointed; it also sounds like you are parroting someone else, can't you think independently? Galatians 2:20

You are searching hard for answers. More athiests spend more time trying to disprove Him than believers spend knowing Him. I have a personal relationship with God. I am happy. I am prosperous. I have love and peace in my life.
You on the other hand, seem unhappy. You are still on the quest. We all know what the answer is. Call on Him today. There is a better life awaiting you.

Belief in the one true God is good for everyone, it gives you a sort of self confidence knowing you can go out and do something without fearing what other people think, and worrying only what God thinks... or that's what Muslims think anyway.

Plus overconfidence leads to mistakes.

Why is it that ignorant people repeatedly draw attention to their own ignorance?
I guess it's because they think it makes them look smart and, being ignorant, don't know any better.

Unfortuneately it isn't something I, or any one else can explain to you, you'll just have to work it out for yourself.

Now I'll throw a question back at you, If you needed surgery, would you grab a knife and do it yourself, or would you go to hospital and have a doctor do it?

I won't re-type what Bonzo submitted - he's 100% correct!

The fairytale belief is a short-term bandage. The weak would be better off overall if they got a grip and realized that they control themselves.

Get a grip and help yourself!

Belief in God is a psychological crutch for the ignorant, gullible and weak-minded who can't face reality. Believers are people who have stayed in a childlike state by replacing mommy and daddy with God to look after them. Pathetic, but true.

You can believe in anything, but that doesn't mean it will give you confidence. It's all about relationship. I believe that you exist, although I have never seen you, there is only evidence of you, so it is with God, but the evidence of Him is over whelming.
