Whatever percentage that the abuse of prisoners by some Americans does not equate to 1% of what Saddam had done to prisoners during his dictatorship in Iraq. These soldiers will be punished, have been punished in a court of law.

Let's look at what your saying carefully and put it in another perspective:

Bullies at a local school keeping beating smaller kids up for money and their lunches. Everybody is just terrified of these bullies, then all of a sudden some student isn't scared and when the bullies want to beat him up, he in returns fights back.

Terrorism is a bully. It has destroyed not only governments, but the social life of millions. No one said anything in the world, and lived with the thinking that if the bullies do not attack them...then we just will turn our backs when the bullies beat other people up. Then came America, it was attacked, and now has fought back, so now everyone hates the guy who fought back......because they are envious because they lacked the courage to do it themselves.

Now, if it was our policy to be bullies, we would just kill who ever we wanted to. If we were bullies, we wouldn't take care of Iraqi wounded and sacrifice our soldiers while doing it. If we were bullies.....I guess then we would own the world.

We have more friends than what you think. Many will not support us overtly, but are doing covertly.

So, I think you should read about American History, and understand how we became America, and how we have allowed the world to live in peace.

Americans would like nothing more than to leave your over-sized sand box and let you go back to living in the 12th century with your oppressive dictator that stops upheaval by murdering thousands of the countries civilians.

Our governments mistake for thinking that ridding a country of a murderous dictator and helping it to form a new government voted for by the people would be a good thing. America's son's and daughter's are dying for your freedom, not ours. We took care of that a couple hundred years ago.

By the way, when was the last time a Iraqi was beheaded by the US military.

I'll take sexual degrading over beheading for 500.

So you like a leader of a country to do the beating and sexual degrading.
People are people and if you hadn't notice the US soldier who allegedly did the beatings and sexual degrading was gay.
We can't control everyone.
But we can kickout a leader if he was to do the samething... you couldn't.
Yeah they all put up with whatever Sadam wanted to do.

Your first mistake was calling them Iraqi, you second asking about them difference between Bush and Saddam (even if you can't spell), and the third was being born in this country, may I suggest Saudi Arabia so you can fully appreciate the differences.

Because the US government made the classic Nazi mistake of vilifying and dehumanizing their enemy. By calling them "tare-ists" (by which they meant "terrorists") and demonizing them, the US made ALL Iraqis into sub-human beasts whose torture and slaughter was somehow acceptable.
Add to that the inherent homosexual frustration of an all-male combat force, the stress of combat, the fear of an un-see-able enemy (after all they aren't wearing uniforms!) and the open-ended, poorly defined mission (consider that peace-keeping is a police mission, not a military one, and yet the US has assigned soldiers to this mission), and you get a VERY explosive mix.
The real wonder of it is that more incidents have not occurred. Good discipline and the inherent goodness of most of the soldiers has prevent Iraq from becoming a pure slaughterhouse. But give it time.
See, Dubya has to have this war to perpetuate Republican power in his own government. It is designed to be perpetual (a terrorist is anyone who attacks U.S. citizens or property anywhere on the planet and all terrorists must be eradicated!).
We can all look forward to a century of repression.

What the soldiers did was wrong. However, when you compare it to what the terrorists insurgents do to their prisoners...
