if i read a book written by a god, i would expect to be filled with awe and wonder when reading every word, from beginning to end. even if it was written by man, with the god telling the man what words to write.
not only would i expect the book to do that for me, but i would expect the book to fill EVERY person who reads it with awe and wonder. everyone, not just a certain few who "believe".
the christian bible does not fill me with awe and wonder. it does not fill many, many, many others with awe and wonder. how can the christian bible be written by a god, or by man with the god telling them what to write?

Can a spirit write? You are not making sense. If you don't believe in God then So be it. There's nothing Deep about the bible even a 3 year old understands it.

obviously you have not been behind the Vail, the Bible is secret code and until you receive the Holy spirit and ask him to reveal the secret mystery hidden there you sound just like you do, but if you go read John 3.16 and then Romans 10.9 and acts 2 and receive his spirit , that's the secret receiving his spirit or what we call being born again or born from above , then you can be aw inspired by the bible, it is an integrated message from outside of this time dimension and has a word for the future and the past and every word points to Jesus the Savior! Now I am sure you don't know this because you have not received this spirit I was talking about, Go do it and the bible will come alive and the spirit of the living God will be in you and guide you and bless you and awe you!

Funny you should bring this up... My BF is Christian, I am not. We were talking about the Bible last night and I said," Well, sure, I agree with the basic tenets, the ones that tell you to behave yourself, not kill anyone and all that, but it was written by a human even if it WAS dictated by God, you KNOW the person taking it down is going to add little things to further their self interest. My BF agrees, adding that there are so MANY different versions it's hard to be filled with awe when you have to sift through man's interpretation of "THE WORD".

To those who believe, the Bible is filled with awe and wonder - where and when appropriate. But even works inspired by God are limited by the words and senses of man. Many of the wonderful - and terrible - aspects of God's plan we cannot understand because of our sensual limitations.
Also, the Bible is a law and rule book for Christians. It is meant to be something that is read and followed for knowledge, not only warm fuzzy feelings like a fairy tale. I would venture a guess that not every lawyer or law student is awed and amazed by the laws they must study either :-)

The Bible was written by men as they were inspired by God to write it. God can write, Look at the 10 commandments. And God can also use men to write the Bible as God moved upon them & inspired them what to write.

One of the answerers responded to your question with:
"The bible is God inspired. It even says so in the bible."
This is Christian logic.
They don't grasp the absurdity of it.
The only way "God" could *possibly* communicate to mankind is through nature, the Cosmos, the laws of physics, science. There are the realities and the truths, the wonders and the discoveries of existence. The bible is nothing more than a collection of myths.

For a book that is supposed to be "inspired" by a divine and perfect being, it sure is riddled with inconsistencies, lies, mistakes and just downright poor writing.
Doesn't say much for this "perfect" being does it?
The fact is, god is a myth. With no more substance than any other pixie, fairie or leprechaun.
The bible is designed to keep the moronic sheep in fear so that they will keep putting money in the collection plate. THAT is the reason for religion after all, it's a scam turned big buisness...

but look at the bible.how can a man write all that without single mistake in history or geography,or even the new discovered things like that the earth is oval not flat.
