in matters of faith, each one of us can make our own rules. each of our families have our own rules made by our elders. rules are generally formed keeping in mind the welfare of everybody. please let us respect the rule of the land or place. if a lady wants to have darshan of the lord, she can always visit someother place where the same god is worshipped and where she is allowed entry. why should the lady be adamant that she should break the rule, question the authority and gain entry, hurting people's sentiments??
yes, as somebody has already answered, Hindus believe that a person who wishes to worship the lord has to be clean both in mind and body. hence girls / ladies who are of menstruating age are not allowed entry. it is so in shabarimalai where lord ayyappa swamy is there. if a lady wants to contest this rule, she needs to be a very evolved lady who is beyond the mundane in every respect. before we contest any rule, we should have studied the rule thoroughly, understood the merits and demerits of the rule and then only gain eligibility to question the rule. every lay person can not start questioning scriptural rules.

And you see in all the religions, Even Muslim women is not allowed to enter in Mosque,.
What I feel is that it is because the men are afraid of superiority of women. And they restricted in certain areas. Eve, the First Lady ate the apple, thatmeans she has the power to think prospectively if she had not done that there would have been no world.
Men are lazy, he wanted to be there and then, women is the prakruti, she is active innovative and if the real power in her evolves then men is no where. RIGHT........
This is the real reason, But she was told that, she is not pure as she gets menses, thereby cannot step into the temple. However a tender girl and old women can do so.Because at that time she is free from such periods.
But do you know the real reason, A tender child knows nothing about the world and a old women will also has nothing to do with the world, she looses intrest in the world as she has already been under father, husband and son superiority. She has made to see the world with their eyes..........
So do you want to change the world
DONOT DO THAT
There are many things to do first...............

May be some thing odd might have happened to some lady in the past! Maybe it had happened more than once! So that may be a good reason!

Because they menstruate they are considered unclean. But after a certain old age they are allowed in some places.
