if somebody has indefinite period on theyre passport does that mean they have permanent stay in the uk or can they be deported back to pakistan

Indefinite means that the entry into a country is without limitation as to time.

On a passport, I believe indefinite means un-defined. In other words you can stay until someone in the immigration department says you have to leave. If for instance you get into legal trouble or arrested for some crime.

indefinite = you can stay as long you like without conditions unless you commit a crime of moral turpitude

Definite = Vague or not clearly defined or stated.

yeah, they can ship you back for anything it appears.
