Chocolate Fudge Recipe

2 1/2 c Sugar
1/2 c Margarine or butter
2/3 c Evaporated milk
1 Jar (7 oz.) marshmallow creme
2 c Semi sweet chocolate chips
3/4 c Chopped walnuts
1 ts Vanilla
Line 9 inch square or 13x9 inch pan with foil so that foil extends over sides of pan; butter foil. In large saucepan, combine sugar, margarine and evaporated milk. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add marshmallow creme and chocolate chips; blend until smooth. Stir in walnuts and vanilla. Pour into buttered, foil-lined pan. Cool to room temperature. Score fudge into 36-48 squares. Refrigerate until firm.
Remove fudge from pan by lifting foil; remove foil from sides of fudge. Using large knife, cut through scored lines. Store in refrigerator.

Traditional Fudge is

1 small can of evaporated milk
2 tablespoons water
450g (1lb) granulated sugar
1 level tablespoon golden syrup
50g (2oz) margarine
2 teaspoons vanilla essence

Put al the ingredients into large saucepan. Stir over low heat until sugar dissolves. Bring to the boil, stirring. Cover. Boil for 3 mins. Uncover. Cook for 15 mins. Remove from heat. Cool for 15 mins.
Pour and spread onto shallow tin.

No Cook Chocolate Fudge

450g (1lb) icing sugar
125g (4 oz plain chocolate
50g (2oz) margarine
4 tablespoons evaporated milk
2 tablespoons vanilla essence

Sift sugar into bow, break up chocolate. Put into basin over pan of hot water. Add margarine. Leave until both have melted. Remove from heat. Stir in milk and essence. Gradually work in icing sugar. When smooth and evenly combined, transfer to greased tin. Leave in cool place until firm and set. Cut into squares

Easy Fudge

1/2 c butter
1/3 c water
1 16 oz. pkg powdered sugar
1/2 c. nonfat dry milk powder
1/2 c cocoa powder dash salt
1/2 c. nuts (opt)

In a small saucepan heat together butter and water just to boiling, stirring to melt butter. Sift together powdered sugar, dry milk, cocoa and salt into a lg. mixer bowl. Add melted butter mixture. Stir till well blended; add nuts. Turn into a buttered 8x8x2 " pan.Chill several hours. Cut into squares. Makes 1 1/2 lbs
