Why do some of you not consider that Mary is the mother of God.
Since if you do not you are actually denying the divinity of Jesus.

Mary is not the mother of the Father or the Holy Spirit but she is mother of Jesus who's both God and man hence it's true to say that Mary is the mother of God, since you are not a mother of a nature but of a person and in this case a divine Person.

I do. Mary is indeed the mother of God. She's Jesus' mother and Jesus is God. Have you ever wondered why nobody has ever said Joseph is the father of God?

Mary was chosen by God to physically give birth to Jesus. It was prophesized in the Book of Isaiah that the Saviour would be of the lineage of David. This woman was of the lineage of David. Jesus was God in the flesh, part of the Trinity, which is God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Does it say Mary is mother of the Holy Spirit? No, she's the physical Mother of Jesus. Not God, Jesus. She is not to be prayed to, worshipped or idolized. Catholics have their own Bibles and the Holy Bible says not to change a word of the original Word of God, and yet the Catholic church has changed the Word of God. Jesus told us to pray to God through HIM, not Mary. So many misdirections in the Catholic church....

Mary is not the mother of God, Mary is the mother of Jesus-- there's a strong distinction.

As a protestant Christian, I believe Mary was a virgin, who was impregnanted by the Holy Spirit. I believe she birthed Jesus. I don't believe we should worship Mary as someone sacred, she was a vessel that God choose to use to bring us Jesus. Jesus we should worship because He is the one who died for our sins, Mary did not.

I believe that by exalting Mary to some sacred position it actually denies the divinity of Jesus. In my point of view, Mary is important because she is the mother of Jesus, but doesn't hold any special powers because of that reason. I don't pray to her for guidance or to intercede on my behalf, because she doesn't have any power-- only Jesus has the power.

The reason 'some' do not consider Mary is the mother of God is because 'some' couldn't find their back-side with both hands!

Mary is the mother of Jesus, God in flesh on the earth. This is the way God used to become man to be on earth .

I don't know if we would actually call her that, I would refer to her as the mother of Jesus, because calling her the mother of God makes me think of God the Father. I think Mary is to be respected and honored, but not prayed to or revered.

Some Christians deny Mary as the Mother of God for she is born of the flesh lo-oo-ong after God first appeared on the scene.

Some Chrisitans believe Mary to be the Mother of God for they also believe Jesus to be God.

I'm ambivalent on the whole Mary, Mother of God, issue.

God is Divine, and God is the Father of Jesus, ...Mary was an imperfect human and could not give anyone divinity.

I do believe that Mary is the mother of Jesus, however, I do not pray to her, I pray directly to God through Jesus Christ.
