I work at a nursing home. Everyone got along and worked together up until last year in October. That's when we got our new DON (director of nursing). She has done nothing but cause problems. Let me tell you an example of something. This one woman I work with asked for vacation time. She said ok. And agreed to give it to her and even filled out the nessesary paperwork. Well a couple of days later another woman asked for vacation the same week. And keep in mind this second woman was a good friend of hers. Well who do you think she gave the vacation time to? Her friend. Not fair. I have heard some pretty bad things about her. A friend of a friend told me that she usta be a DON at another nursing home near here. She said that she would have her own clique of people. Those people would find info for her about people on the floor. And they would minipulate people until they quit. Well good job because as of lately our only workers are mostly agency because everyone is leaving because of her.

That would be up to human resources, once they realize they are losing employees because of the DON they may relieve her of her duties. Until then don't make waves for yourself unless you want to move on.

I think u should try to talk to DON's supervisor or something or just file a claim in the work department to see if it a regulation about her behavior.
