How can I quickly clean up vomit that has been deposited in the common hallway of my dorm suite at college by one of my suitemates? I don't have carpet cleaner or paper towels available- assume I'm low on resources. My suitemate is nowhere to be found.

Firstly, you need to pick up any debris - so to speak. Do this with some paper towel. Then get a bucket of hot water - use gloves, wash the area well with a cloth. Then, if you have a disinfectant, wash over this area with straight substance to rid any germs.
