Nutitionists have said that popcorn is healthier than potato chips/crisps, but dont have too much sugar on the popcorn.

Absolutely true if it is real popcorn, air popped or nuked. But not the bought packages you microwave - real popping corn popped in a microwave popper. This is not true once you start adding butter and salt or flavourings. (so sad...)
