He took advantage of the relative chaos of local tribal wars, took control of the civil government, and consolidated his power. (doesn't this sound familiar)
The Religion of Peace became the Religion of Terror (one of them) around 622.

Mohamed did that? Have you read the Qua ran? It's is people's interpretation that incorporated terrorism. Just like the fanatical "born again" Christians who spout their "burn in hell" philosophy of the Bible.

your problem is not Muhammad or Islam, ur problem that you do not understand God. want to hear something more worse that what you mention, the Hell Fire burning people as a punishment. Allah is your God, the God of old testimony and the God who sent Jesus to you.
Muhammad has been sent for a mercy to man kinds to lead them toward the truth, you should appriciate the man for puting his life in risk just to tell you that your God is only one to be worshiped.

Mohamed preached tolerance, and mercy.In wartime, he ordered his troops to streer clear of women, children, and old people. He ordered them not to cut down trees.PLZ, before u make judgements and form opinions, read facts.
