I need to remove my cd player from my freelander it is the large type I can not see any way to remove it their are no holes in the unit for a removal tool like the ones you get in the shops. The radio / cd player is the factory fitted one that came with the car. Can you help please?

Every unit I've ever removed I've had to unscrew the dash and take it off. There's often a conversion kit around the actual stereo and mine have always been screwed in behind that. look around your dash for any screws. I got a cool little screwdriver thingy that is at a right angle and very small and it like a socket, so I don't have to keep turning and turning. good luck. if you still can't find out, you can always call a stereo shop and I've always found them very helpful. hehe, I had to actually alter my conversion kit on one car, but i did it!!!!
