yes. I had mono and I thought I had just had a cold. I had a stuffy nose and cough. I went to the doctor because it was not getting better and found out I had mono. So Yes, you can have mono with out a sore throat

if you have swollen glands, low grade fever and are extrememly tired..only way to tell for sure is a blood test...and there is no cure.
