Who is the somebody and what is the Law of Cause and Effect?
You say we are not FREE...What does that mean? NOT FREE to do what or should I ask NOT FREE FROM WHAT?
You're FREE to do whatever you want except break the law so who's holding you captive.....I AM FREE.

we are not free?
somebody has discovered such Law of cause and effect and so now we are not free. Our lives and mere struggling with such Law of cause and effect. Therefore we are not free at all!

Are you asking a question or making a statement. You are full of it. If we are not free, then why do so many people want to live here and now we almost have more foreigners than the true Americans. This is the land of plenty, have you ever been to some of these poor countries, no food, no toilet, no drinking water. We have rules, but we do elect our officials, and we do have freedom of speech. I guess I don't know really what you are asking, but, yes we are free. If you do not believe it, just leave and see where you wind up, Good luck.

Cause and effect has nothing to do with choice of free will. You choose, you face the effect.

Causality does not preclude freedom. "Free" is a sales pitch, part of a language game, and ill defined. Are you free to come into my home and assault me? No. Are you free to hold your breath for ever? No. Free to choose any one of what appears to be all of your options? Sure. But, what about all of the options you didn't know you had? Were you free to choose them?

Dunno about you, but *I'm* free. :)
Yes, there are the laws of nature, and there is God's Old Testament law (of Moses), but Christ "has redeemed us from the curse of the Law." He has also "made us free from the law of sin and death." Very interesting study-- do a search of all verses based on "law" and "redemption" with some of the good online sources like BibleGateway.com and BlueLetterBible.org.

To a certain degree i am agree: the effect will influence your "choice" very strongly, without you noticing!
