Yes. Alcohol will dehydrate you. The headache you feel from a hangover is caused by the shrinking of your brain. Binge drinking can lead to serious liver problems. I suggest you hop on the wagon for a while.

Hello. Most assuridly . Alcohol effects every organ in the body and some more rapidly than others. Heavy drinkers are often very dehydrated and are typically undernourished. This too often occurs when the old hangover cure " The Hair of the Dog That bit you " , starts to become a routine. In case you are unfamiliar that means that , if you have a hangover the next morning , then another drink will cure it . In reality , what really happens is that as you drink , your body can only process the amount of alcohol that your body weight is designed to handle. This is the equation used in the .08 laws. When you go beyond what your body can tollerate , you become "Tipsy" and evidentually inebriated. Most people react with either neasea and vomiting or simply pass out because their bodies have rejected the amount of ingested alcohol. The " blood alcohol level " has exceeded the recommended hourly allowance. As time passes , the level diminishes and you wake up...or partially come to your senses and the feeling you have is basically the result of an overdose. Your body has gone through a trauma and is notifying you of your mistake. When you take a drink to ward off a hang over , all you are doing is returning to a state of annestesia just prior to your alcohol overdose and within a few drinks , will return to the previous state of sick or sleep. Your body uses every possible resourse to fight off the effects of too much alcohol but it becomes futile the more you consume. In other words , all the liquid (water) , vitamines and food for nurishment have to be called away from their normal duties to assist the other organs that are hardest hit by the drug. So people that drink on a daily basis will exist for periods in which the body receives absolutely "zero" beneficial elements. All vitamine and minerals , as well as liquids consumed are use to make up for the deficit that has been created. All in all , organs are forced to overwork and some , like the liver , cannot sustain prolonged abuse without failure. Sort of like a sponge. Once it is full of water , it cannot absorb more. Just in case you are considering a life of heavy drinking , consider this : (All are very possible side effects)....Tongue ,mouth and throat cancer , esophigus and larynx deterioration , weakened (and possible breakage) in the lining of the stomach, ulcerations and cancer of the stomach , nerve damage , weakness in the extremeties from capulary damage , circulatory problems resulting in numbness in the hands and feet , pancreatitis , cyrossis of the liver and there was one more , but........oh , yes .....Death ! Please drink in moderation, if at all , but if you must , then remember you body before and after. And...Don't drive !
I am sorry. I do apologize for any misspelled words found in this answer. As usual , the spell checker is asleep or perhaps not on the job at all. Still , I hope you receive the message. Thank you. And , " spell checker"............" WAKE UP !!! "

I know that when you drink alot of alcohol, your body will
start to warm up, your heart beats faster than usual, your
head will turn and spin like a top and you visit the loo more
often to release your bladder. After sometime, you will drink
more water due to dehydration of your body.
If you drink daily like that, your liver and bladder will be affected
badly and your drunkenness will always impair your judgment.
You may lose appetite because of excessive drinking and may
also lose weight and deplete your body of some essentials,
such as vitamins, proteins etc. If you can, consult a doctor and
stop drinking excessively for god's sake.

Drinking too much alcohol causes many serious health problems, firstly it damages the liver which causes tiredness, it kills your brain cells, which are the only cells in the body which cannot be replaced, it ages you, in men it actually shrinks the penis and women who drink more than 1 pint of beer or the equivalent in one day increases her chances of contracting breast cancer by a massive 40 %. You need to cut it down dramatically and take a vitamin B supplement, whole grains and egg yolks will also help your liver.

the most essential "thing" is brain cells...the more you drink, the more damage you do to your brain in destroyed brain cells. perhaps equally important is the hepatic damage that is sure to result as your liver struggles to detoxify the alcohol...you have heard of hepatitis, i am sure...it is a common cause of death among alcoholics...google your question, as I do not have time to teach you basic common sense, human anatomy, and human physiology.

Yes, it does; esp Vit C/D/E and most importantly DEHYDRATION.
So mix your vodka with gatorade! And take vit c/e complex
Look, I drink heaps, but I don't get hangovers so - if you do - then slow down. Pain is your body's way of saying "enough already"!

You're probably dehydrated. Drink lots of water and eat bananas. Potassium is good for energy.
