Sorry, but Jesus is the Gate to Heaven. Believe in ur heart that he died for your sins-past, present and future, invite Him to dwell in ur heart and in God's eyes you'll be immaculate. That's the Only way to go to Heaven.

Depends on who you ask!
Catholics would say that you have to go through all but one of the sacraments (you can't be both ordained and married, you have to pick one), you also have to die in a state of grace (meaning your sins are all confessed at the time you die). That's what Last Rites are about - the priest sends you off to Heaven in a state of grace.
If you're a Protestant, then (generally) belief in Christ and comprehension of your sins should lead you to repent and turn over a new leaf; Christ's blood covers your soul so when God sees you he doesn't see your sin any more and then when you die you go to Heaven.
Buddhists believe that there is no Heaven, only stages of enlightenment. As you learn more and become wiser (more enlightened) you will experience more joy, more beauty, etc. in the same world that already exists. You don't get whisked away to another place, heaven is already around us. (They probably wouldn't state it that way, but it's the best I can do here.)
I won't go into any other religions because there are so many, but there are a million Heavens and a million ways to get there.
Great question, one it will take you a lifetime to research, and which will only be answered after that lifetime is over!

Depends whose Heaven and where AND for how long will you be able to stay there? Do? If you are a "Christian" basically you do nothing..it was all done for you just believe it. Simple enough?
If you are Buddhist then it is your pursuit of personal perfections and doing Good Deeds which will earn you great Merit in a never-ending stream and practicing Meditation preparing you for a respite in the Fourth Level of Heaven..Ducitburi. Sadu!

trusting is the first step, then you must sanctify yourself by running Gods word through your mind, the Bible says be transformed by the renewing of your mind! And this is what is meant when he said be covered in the blood, the word is the blood, and you must be washed in the blood, so you must have a working knowledge of the word and then get to work and save some of the children!

jesus is God's action of love toward us. trusting in Jesus is to accept that love. in love you seek to know who God and Jesus are which leads to taking on attributes of them both and grow as a person. as you grow you act more and more in accordance with that love and give it or reflect it towards others around you. it is a way of life not a measuring stick of weather or not you are just following a set of rules.

Open your eyes. I believe this is as good as it gets. Enjoy your life today. Show love, find joy and be kind to all. Heaven is a state of mind not a fairytale.

===============================================
Luke 18:18 And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
19 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.
20 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.
21 And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up.
22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.
==============================================
What does it mean to follow Jesus? Pray to the One that Jesus prayed to. Did he pray to his father or not? Did Jesus ever have a prayer session directed at himself? If not, do not pray to Jesus as he did not ask people to pray to him. If he was destined to be prayed to, it would be his obligation to teach people to pray to him, if not, he would not be doing his job. BUT, not once did he ask his disciples or anyone else to pray to him. All his energies were devoted to turning people to the Lord Almighty, who he time and again called MY FATHER and YOUR FATHER!!
Those who give preference to others do so at their own risk. Many Christians give preference to Paul and Peter without realizing it. Many follow the instructions given in the Acts of the Apostles without really thinking through the facts. Remember that the disciples Paul (who Jesus did not allow in his close circle of friends and followers) or Peter (who Jesus called by the name of "Satan" in all three of the four gospels, for wanting to create a change in the divine plan) can never replace the position that Jesus held.
It is obvious that Jesus never had a prayer session directed to himself but always encouraged people to worship the Lord Almighty.
Remember also that Jesus always obeyed the Lord Almighty, and his relationship with the Lord Almighty was never on an equal footing. God always directed Jesus and Jesus always obeyed, never the other way around. Indeed Jesus said I and God are one, but he also said those who follow him are one in him.
