Set a 'time' when the bottles will be gone from the house. Say in one month. Tell her to look on a calender and mark off the days. Tell her during this time, everyday she must use her sippy cup...get her involved. Ask her to mark the calender and ask her to find her 'special' cups. Buy real special ones just for this project.
Let her have her bottle at night only. Remove all but one bottle. (Toss the rest without her knowledge of this part, k?) Make sure that she is completely involved so it feels like it is also her decision to do this. Good luck!

I took mine off at 13 months. Sippy cups was the life saver. I would just take away the bottles. Throw them in the garbage. You need to stand your ground and say NO.
If the child is thirsty enough it will use the sippy cup.
You need to also tell the 4 year old that big boys/girls drink from sippy cups and that bottle are for babies. At 4 they know better. You're not going to want to pack a lunch for school with a bubba in it? Do it now.

Who is the parent and who is the child? What do you mean she won't let it go? A 4 year old on a bottle?? Tell her she is too old for a bottle, that big girls use cups, and THROW HER BOTTLE AWAY!!!!! So she'll cry for a day or two!! It's better than her having rotten teeth and baby root canals!!!!!! Think of it like this: Would I rather deal with her tears or would I rather shell out hundreds or thousands of dollars for dental work?

Just take it away. and tell her " the Easter bunny ate it" either it is the sippy cup or it is nothing, I think 4 years of age is just a little to old to have a bottle, my 2 oldest stopped the bottle at 13 months of age, and my 7 month old is getting to where she don't want her bottle, I would think you would be scared of bottle mouth, it is a scary thing to think of and it is bad for the teeth and gums at 4 years old, I am not trying to put you down, I know every kids is differant, I wish you the best of luck..........

TAKE IT AWAY. I have always thought kids should be off the bottle by age 1 but with my son he was 20 mos so I allowed him only to have it at night from about 12 mos to 19 mos then one night we just gave him a sippy and threw all the nipples away. GOODBYE BOTTLE. At the three day point he was crying but I was like no you have went 3 days. My daughter kept losing her bottle at 12 mos so I refused to buy anymore. Your daughter is 4 you need to explain to her how you plab to take it away. I kind of did it slowly but at 4 I would just take it away. Its horrible for their teeth. I know its hard but needs to be done.

Try having her give it away. To a dog, cat, new baby. Let her know that she is a big girl now and that ..... need a bottle and as a big girl she would really be helping to give the bottle to.... It may work for you.

Just take it and get rid of it, the sooner the better, noone remember anything from when they were 4 so its not like theres gonna be psychological trauma. And children should not dictate the actions of parents at any age.
