--Assalam Alykom
The key point is revision, revision and revision! Specify an amount you want to leran and repeat it. Then try reading it in your prayers. The next day learn something new and repeat it in yor prayers and so on till the end of the week. Then on Friday, try to repeat everything you have studied throughout the week. Then repeat this again the week next to it, with repeating things you learned last week in the different Rukas of Salat.
May Allah help you with this, and give you the most benefit of His Noble Words.

As-salaam o Aleikum wa Rehmatullahi wa Barakatahu.
Oh!! my Brother, how glad i m to hear that, my deepest heart-felt appraisal and best wishes are with u. its good to c that even, in this fast-pace world, ppl like u take time, spend it to learn Religious Teachings, and Most Important of All become Hafiz of The Holy Quran. though i may not have an answer regarding tips, but i will like to congratulate u on ur step to improve ur HereAfter. All i can say is, remain committed, and dont haste into it, infact ALLAH told Prophet Mohammad (May Peace and Blessings of ALLAH Be Upon Him), Not to haste into learning, as ALLAH will Surely Help Him to Learn. So, go slowly and thoroughly, and know what u r learning, rather learning it like a parrot. i will again like to offer my heart-felt congratulations to u, and May ALLAH Guide u and Help u, on This Noble Act of urs (on urself). Surely, Seek ALLAH's Help for It. Peace, Blessings and Mercy of ALLAH Be on u.

Memorizing the Quran is optionally available. yet Memorizing the Quran can purely be a blessing in case you memorize with wisdom. that's actually risky to blindly memorize the Quran devoid of comprehending or wisdom what you're reading because of the fact it defeats the purpose of wisdom God's message. 2:171 - the occasion of such disbelievers is that of parrots who repeat what they hear of sounds and calls, devoid of wisdom. Deaf, dumb, and blind; they can't comprehend. Peace Joseph

I'm not Muslim, but I study languages a lot, and the method I use to remember what I learn is to listen to CDs which have the information pre-recorded. I listen to them when I'm driving places, and the information seems to stick in my head. I'm sure you can find an audio version of the Quran, or maybe record one yourself..
Good luck!

read the Quran daily, with time u will be fluent in speech and again with time u will begin to recite without having to take it. all the best. may the peace and blessings of Allah be with us and may He guide us in the right path.
OK im gonna give u a hadith. a group of men and sahabas were all sitting together. they were dicussing about the time it took for them to grasp the Quran byheart. among them was one man who said -- it took 18 years for me to memorise the Quran. all of them started laughing and asked him what took u so long.
the man answered - i memorised the first ayah and i would not go to the second ayah until i have fully implemented the message of the previous ayah in my life. thus it took me 18 years.
and when the rest of them heard that, they stopped laughing and praised Allah for the guidance.
(meaning once he memorised the first verse, he would implement it in his life and follow it by heart and then would memorise the second one.)

all that stuff the guy wrote about the bible is true, here is the secret power for everything, Christ send his spirit into you and it gives you Gods Word, and helps you remember it it says that the HOLY SPIRIT brings all things to remembrance, and it does. Get the Holy Ghost of God himself in Jesus Name! I know that is going to be hard as a Muslim but do it anyways and tap into the Fathers house and Divine spirit and kingdom!
