I'm not afraid of snakes and little kids generally aren't either (I think kids become conditioned to being afraid of things). As for whether they harm you or...that really depends on the snake. Most will prefer to hide and will not attack unless provoked. Others can be territorial and will attack if you're percieved as a threat. So even if you don't actually harm them, you may be scaring them into an attack by walking too close to them.

Find out which snakes are native to your area. For all you know, there may not even be any venomous snakes to worry about. Besides, only 15% of the 3000 known venomous snake species worldwide are considered potentially deadly to humans.

Edit: unless you live in some tropical jungle, I don't think you have to worry about the constrictors... unless it was someone's pet that got away...heheh

Believe it or not, snakes would rather slither away than attack. However, if you continue to irritate it, the snake will attack. Also, if you smell like food (i.e. you just picked up a rabbit and now you want to hold a hungry python) they will attack. Third, if the snake feels threatened, it will attack.
But, as I said before, they would rather be left alone. They don't slither around looking for the next person to victimize.

People who do not fear snakes have been harmed by them so your theory is not true.

Yes exactly they never harm to us . If we were mocking at the snake it will be harmful to us. If they were harmful our ancestors won't respected snakes as their sacred , a godly thing..

No. Some snakes are easily frightened or disturbed. Some will attack if you go near their young. And, uh, not all of us are afraid of snakes. ;)

I think so. just stay away from them so you wouldn't get hurt. they will attack if you get too close to their young or if you accidentally step near them. they will just defend themselves, its a defense instinct.
