I've been practicing, but the last time it happened, I got scared and came back to my body. How can I keep my fears and negativity away so that I can successfully cruise the astral planes without seeing creepy sh*t?

It is! Anyone can do it.

Advice: Always keep a sharp eye on reality when you are not. Don't let your brain learn that the real world can be like what you see out there.

In other words, always remember to take enough time out and in the real world, so your brain won't learn to see what it should not.

Healthy advice, that is, though I don't happen to believe in astral projection.

There are all kinds of spirits in the spirit world, and there's a reason why those seem so creepy. If they're not of God, they're demonic spirits (the third of the angels that rebelled against Him). Be careful of what you fool around with before plunging headlong into stuff you don't know how to handle for the sake of some new excitement. There's all *kinds* of exciting phenomena in the Bible. Check out the gifts of the Spirit for yourself in the Bible, and get help and explanation from Spirit-filled believers and/or ministers (from a church that does not discount the Scriptural operation of the gifts of the Spirit).

i am a Pagan minister...

astral projection is not something that i usually give advise on.
simply because it can be dnagerous. usually i tell people to find themselves a teacher and go with their instruction.

and that is basicaly what i am going to tell you.

when projecting oneself you must have a plan and an intent.
this way you will be able to stay on track withoug getting sidetracked or possibly lost.

much of astral projection is a way to overcome fears.

I would suggest that you embark on a path of knowlege and study the ancient beliefs about astral projection...and shamanic journey. and the spiritual uses of it. also you should seek to define your spirituality before you attempt to project again. you should have a good solid connection to the devine because this is a sense of security and possible help on the astral plane..

for your own good please seek a trained teacher in your area before you get into something that is more than you are ready for.

Meditation will help a lot and anytime you want to project yourself or enter the astral world go with a positive attitude and not for selfish gains ,,,,,,,,,,enter it with a noble cause it will not through you back in the body

PeachyKeen,
You did the same thing I did. I'm Christian now. I think God does that so that you are not thinking that there is not a spiritual world. I didn't believe in anything before that. Then all of the sudden, I knew that spirits were true, and part of me was spirit. I could never do it on desire. But have to wait for it to happen again.
