I know that a person can get infected by AIDS through sexual intercourse, provided if other person is also infected by AIDS. But I want to know that how that other person gets infected by AIDS without any intercourse?

1) sharing needles (like people doing drugs together) or accidental needle stick (like a hospital worker).
2) accidental blood transfusion...the blood just happened to have the hiv virus without the donor's knowledge. (people don't know their hiv positive immediately.)
3) mom had hiv/aids and was pregnant...so the fetus could get infected.

(fyi- u cannot get it from becoming in contact with hiv-infected person's saliva, tears, or sweat. u also cannot get it from bugs, toilet seats, phones, or drinking fountains.)

unless you have sex with someone YOU CANT get aids, unless you share dirty needles with someone who has aids
