How do we determine whether human nature is good or not? Whether something that we do is good or bad is decided by laws, culture and religion. Imagine a prehistoric world without all these developments. Human beings murder, steal from and rape other human beings for survival. Was that good or bad then? It wasn't as it was something necessary. Now look at the same actions in modern life, murder and theft and rape. It is considered bad because we deem it so. Therefore it is impossible to determine if human nature is essentially good or bad.

I think it's just barely good enough. As others have pointed out, just look at the mess the world is in. Ironically, some are too good, such that they oppose the death penalty even for the most depraved criminals. So genetically and culturally, the flaws of human nature are never eradicated.

No. Human nature for men is to dominate women and control everything. Human nature for women is to just let them, care for the children, and keep things clean. I am a woman, btw, and I follow Islam. that's why I don't follow these things. My husband supports his family and yes, I do care for the children and clean the house, but my husband is the one in the kitchen. I also have a job in marketing that I absolutely love and do as I wish with my own money. I am a college student and will graduate in the fall, God willing.

human beings have a "dual nature" because we are both animal and universal. Our animal nature is apathetic, so it's evil and our universal nature is empathetic, so it's good. If you have more of an animal nature you could easily become very evil and if you embrace your universal nature you will be good. It depends on how you sway. So the answer is that it depends on which persoin you are talking about.

Human nature is a fallen nature. There is nothing "good" about us on our own.

Paul said he had been crucified with our Lord. He no longer lived, but it was Christ who now lived in him. This is the lesson Paul gave us to follow.

For most people. It can also be essentially bad for some. It really depends on your genes and any deficiencies you may suffer from.
