Ok, I know this girl and she is my friend. She had trouble with her boyfriend and they broke up. She called me and asked me if I could talk. I went over and she told me the situation (typical breakup) but her boyfriend was mean to her. So I stayed and talked to her and I tried to make her laugh. Then I asked her if she would go to a fast food place with me to get something to eat and get an Ice Cream. After that we talked for a bit. She seemed fine after everything,, I was just wondering, do you all think that I did the right thing or not?

Of course you did the right thing. That was very nice of you to be so supportive by listening to her and being a shoulder to cry on. She is very lucky that she had you to count on and comfort her. Anyone would be lucky to have someone who cares about them that much.

Yeah, I think you definitely did the right thing. I know when I'm feeling hurt over something like that, I really need a good friend to be there for me like you were there for her.

brother u did the right thing but did u do it with any wrong intensions of hitting on her when the 2 of them broke up.. keep open these things r very sensitive. u might be giving the emotional support but then u r making them to fall far apart. brakup n fights r just a fraction in their relation ship well i would suggest try n patch things up..for them dont exploit the situation.. by moving in on @@@ .. u knw wat i mean.. dnt let ur emotions runn

yeah...im pretty sure that you did. That's what friends are for, to cheer each other up. If she seemed fine after everything, than you did the right thing =)

Sounds like you did a good thing. If you are only friends with her, it sounds like you are being a good friend. If you have more than friendly feelings for her, you might be screwing up your chances by making yourself available to cry on your shoulder. Now she will associate her problems with you.

if her boyfriend didn't physically harm her, you so did the right thing. you were a great friend who was there when she needed you. good job. if her boyfriend abused her, time to get the parents involved.

Yes you did, you cheered her up, did you do the right thing? Are you saying you wanted to do more? You can, if you like her.
