Is it just me or is the problem with Hispanic ilegal immigrants that they have to much pride?

To have so much pride to think you are such a necesicity to this country is just arrogant. If you are here illegal you should be nothing but grateful for what you get. You really think legal Americans don't know how to do unskilled labor or could replace you? Please tell me I'm a racist..it won't feel right..otherwise

DO NOT think that the Q&A you see here are from illegals. They are from liberals (and probably a few conservatives) POSING as illegals.

Those marching in the demonstrations? Fewer illegals than you might expect. Plenty of 2nd generation illegals though. However their parents are hard at work while they are out protesting for "their rights".

Of the illegals I know, none of them have a pride chip on their shoulder though some of their kids do. The dems they hang with have enough for all the rest though.

These prideful Hispanics think the country has a problem with the legal ones. If you are a legal citizen in this country, no matter what race or country you are from, even Mexico, hell especially Mexico, then you need to not stick up for the people here illegally cause its keeping others from gaining legal status the right way.

Don't say that they are doing jobs Americans won't do. Getting $20 a day to pick cotton. That is preventing a citizen to get the job and get paid maybe 80 bucks a day. The person employing the illegal, is also doing something illegal twice by first of all employing this person, and second of all, having to pay him under the table free of any taxes.

If the "La Raza" organization, so powerful in California, gets it's way, Hispanics will have taken control over my part of the country, within a generation or so. I'm not racist, but THEY are, hence their name.

The cost of making ends meet is the same for everyone. The Mexicans are working for less wages because they are not paying taxes but are using tax supported charitable programs to make ends meet. They are all receiving Wic and free health care . This is the fault of the businesses that employ them. The businesses save money but pass on the cost of supporting their employees to the American taxpayer. This is not the fault of the illegal Mexican but knock off the nonsense that you work so hard for less. Also they sure do not work hard at learning English. Again the American taxpayer foots the bill for printing all govt info in Spanish. And what is with the marching with Mexican flags while trying to convince America to let them stay? America passed NAFTA for Mexico but they encourage their poor to Cross the border and have America deal . The sad thing is these people are loyal to Mexico not America but have the nerve to call Americans racists? Mexican Americans are wonderful. These illegals who are Mexican at heart are not welcome.

I see what you mean, cause I work with lots of Mexican folks that are in the USA illegally, and they do seem a little egotistical at times, but try to imagine if the USA was in a poverty situation, and Mexico was flourishing financially, can we say that we wouldn't try to get work down there to feed our family? We are so strong, as US citizens, that we forget sometimes that in the beginning, 1776, we were all illegal immigrants, actually our founders were mostly criminals, ejected from England. I say, live and let live. If they have the courage and initiative to come here and seek work, and get jobs, so be it. Maybe some of the lazy young white boys will wake up some day. My daughter actually found a boyfriend that HAS A JOB, wow, I'm so impressed. He's a Mexican of course.

I understand the issue of immigrants and their protesting, but I guess I want to know if you are willing to go and work in 120 degree heat and pick cotton?
People winge and complain that they are taking our jobs, and yes in *some8 industries that is true such as construction. However, most of them work as migrant farmworkers making sometimes as little as $20 per day, in back breaking heat, doing a job that very few of you would be willing to do.
And for those of you that say, we should raise the standards and pay our own people to do it and pay them minimum wage, I ask you this- Are you willing to pay $40 for a pound of apples or how bout $25 for a plain white cotton shirt that we now buy at Wal-mart for $5???

I know what you mean! It gets so tiring, constantly hearing them tell us about ALL they do for us and how we should be down on our hands and knees THANKING them for ALL they do for us and how our economy would collapse without them and we wouldn't be able to afford to eat or buy homes and how our houses would be filthy and our grass would grow out of control!!

I can't remember asking them to come here illegally and take care of me because I don't know how to take care of myself, do you? They talk as if they are only here out of the GOODNESS of their hearts and out of concern for OUR well-being and so for that we should be ETERNALLY grateful!

Instead, what they should REALLY be saying is the TRUTH - they don't give a shite about anyone but their own greedy selves and come here to stick their hands in everyone's pockets for welfare, medical care, education for their illegal kids, etc., all while committing more and more illegal offences in our country, from stealing SSNs and using them fraudulently, to driving illegally, etc., all while popping out "anchor" babies so they can stick their hands even deeper into our pockets - and at the SAME TIME they march and parade in our streets, thumbing their noses at us while waving their rag flag and DEMANDING more and more rights in the USA!

I don't know if you could call it "pride," though.....maybe arrogance and a sense of "entitlement" is more like it.
