If we all are equal then how come these statistics show that the most towns with black majorities have the most crime. And the white towns have the least crime? What does everybody think of this. And please don't revert to personal attacks.

Do you also read the statistics on the poverty levels in these same neighborhoods? There are many other studys to consider along with these. Crime is more correlated with poverty stricken neighborhoods black or white. Although blacks make up a large part of the poverty in America .It is this issue more than skin color that drive people to crime.

For one, we ARE all created equal by the good Lord above. It is so unfortunate, but after the history of our country has played out over a few hundred years; African Americans hardly have a chance in this country. There is still so much ignorance here dealing with "race." We are all human regardless of how much pigment our skin tissue contains. Caucasian parents often carry on to their children what they were taught as children and on and on and on. So going back a few generations, ignorant concepts are still being upheld to this day. African Americans are discriminated against currently in almost all aspects of life in America. Caucasians have know idea what it is like to live as an African American. Doors that are automatically open for Caucasians are almost as instantly closed for African Americans. Living life day to day is totally different for each "race." I guess my mom said it best when she told me: "never judge a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes." God bless.

I'm sorry but I cannot help but to see truth to stereotype. However, you do have a few exceptions. Blacks and hispanics seem to associate themselves towards criminal behavior. Equality for the races... I beleive in it whole heartedly. Is stereo type not admissible... thats bull. Look any where you want and see for yourself. Think about it. Black and hispanic crime issues have been used in many aspects such as movies, television, and even to influence political races. When is the last time you saw a comedian who was truly funny without making fun of a stereotype that the audience finds funny because its true.

If there is a great disparity between the economies and cultures of the colors that you describe here (orange, purple, neon, what-have-you), please think about this: when pioneers (as they were called) moved to the united states, they killed a lot of american indians. So based on the question posted above, pioneers were the least safe to have as the majority?

The poorer the town, the more crimes you are going to have. And when you use capitals letters on here, that means you are yelling at that individual. Yell all you want!! That just proves your a racist and you have lots of hatred.

Not a coincidence at all. Unfortunately this is a result of long-standing institutional biases which put the best schools, police officers, etc in non-black communities. We need to stop looking at color when deciding where to invest in people. Thanks for the great question!

The equality has to do with equal opportunity, not 'you gotta be equal' thinking. Choice, and consequence. You make choices, and pay consequences for them.
