Whats up with the drinking of the raw eggs when people train? I see it on TV, but I don't know what it's for. Can someone give me a good answer, so maybe I can use it for my training?

A number of nutritionists recommend consuming raw eggs as a way of making sure you get high quality protein and fats into your diet.

Why would anyone eat the eggs in a raw form? Heating the egg protein actually changes its chemical shape, and it is this change in the protein structure which can easily be a cause of allergies. The heating also destroys many of the nutrients and proteins found inside the egg.

I wouldn't recommend it. People do it because raw eggs are higher in protein than cooked eggs. It's terrible though because you are taking the risk of getting botulism or other foodborne illnesses!

Yeah, it's for the protein thing not changed by cooking. If you wanna take them for your muscle when you train i'd say go for quail eggs, they are smaller, easier to ingest and their nutritional value updoes the one of other eggs.

It is a good, quick source for protein which is a pro but the cons are high cholesterol content and risk of salmonella bacteria.

If you can stand it, you have a good strong hit of protein when you need it. Personally, I'm getting nauseous just thinking about it.

protein helps build muscles. but, i think they really don't need to eat it raw! if they don't like fat in fried eggs then why don't they eat boiled eggs? duh?!
