Think about the really ghastly terrorist incidents over the past two decades - the 1983 Beirut Marine barracks bombing (242 dead), the 1988 Pam Am 103 bombing (259 dead), the 1993 World Trade Center attack (6 dead, more than 1,000 injured), the 1994 bombing of the Buenos Aires Jewish Center (86 dead), the 1998 bombing of U.S. embassies in Nairobi and Dar es Salaam (291 dead, 5,000 wounded), the 2000 attack on the U.S.S. Cole (17 dead), September 11, 2001 (over 3,000 killed), the 2002 Moscow theater hostage-taking (94 dead), the 2004 Beslan school hostage crisis (344 dead), the 2004 Madrid train bombings (192 dead), the 2005 London underground bombings (56 dead) and the 2006 commuter train bombings in Mumbai - formerly Bombay (at least 200 dead).

In each and every case, the killers were ... ? That is correct, sir -- Muslims! What other religion condones savagery committed in its name? Jesus said turn the other cheek. Muhammed said cut off the other guy's cheek. The Torah says show kindness to strangers. The Koran says: If you can't convert them, kill them.

Before pointing the finger at others why don't we get our own houses in order.

1) More people are murdered by Caucasians in the UK each year than are killed by terrorists
2) The Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombs killed many times more civilians than any so called Muslim terrorist has ever done.
3) In the first world war, the Brits killed over a hundred of their own soldiers for so called cowardice when in fact they were suffering from shell-shock.
4) In the second world war, the Brits knowingly killed many more civilians than any terrorist. just one example - the bombing of the dams released torrential floods killing many.
5) Even today, we happily sit there in bliss while many die in our own country through poverty.

I really don't know how you can be so self righteous when over the centuries, the British have been one of the most brutal nations with an agenda to dominate much of the world.

You may say that this is all in the past, but even today, we quite happily supply weapons to almost anyone fuelling conflict across the world.

I wish I could think you are joking, but sadly, I don't think you are. Adolf Hitler was born to a Jewish father and Catholic mother. Isreal is Zionist. The crusades and persecutions of jews and catholics throughout Europe were comitted by "christians". Anybody who asks a question like this, obviously has an agenda and knows nothing of European history, or history at all come to that. Have you read the Qu'ran? Another rhetroical question. The actions of extremists cannot be used to judge the many, any more than your ignorance is an excuse to kill you. The biggest killer, historically, has been wars of religion, and those wars of religion have been mostly by, and against other Christians. Before you start blaming others about hatred why not look into your own heart and see the blame there. Read the Qu'ran, read the bible.
I say this as a secular atheist who has done both, and not knee-jerked like a person who is obviously ignorant.

As a british indian, the sort of stuff you're describing make it more difficult for me to go about my daily buisiness without the odd look from a security guard or someone else. 99% of the people in Britain don't know the difference in appearence between muslims, hindus and sikhs. Because of this we are ususally on the end of some racist slur or mildly racist behaviour perepetrated by an even more ignorant person.

The acts you are describing are abhorrent and lessons should be learnt, but instead it gives the right wing politicians more ammo in their crusade to segregate britian. The press pick up on all the sh*t after it hits the fan, and has a field day expalining Abu Hamzas' radical ideas, instead of why it happened in the first place.

Any way thats my viewpoint of things on the britsh isles, i just wish that all of these 'dissafected youth' (another term which gives them rigths where they should have none) would do something useful. For example, many of them 'can't stand the way that britain is run' or ' think that british law should be replaced with Muslim law'; If you don't like it that much then leave my bloody country you whinos!! I'll bet that they would last 3 seconds in Pakistan or Dubai, or wherever they hold up as a shining example!

The facts and figures you quote are well and good within context, you are talking about a short time period, throughout history there have been atrocities.
Today we call it terrorism, in the past they have been called crusades, or the final solution, whatever name you give it does not matter, it is still the killing on innocent people in the name of faith/belief
It has always happened and always will. When the oil runs out, the Muslims countries will be left alone and some-one else will have an axe to grind!
In answer to your question, yes Muslims should be accepted, the vast majority are peace loving, hard working families and together we make this nation stronger and more tolerant!

Yes, the Gospels preach peace. But the Crusaders killed everybody in Acre and cut their guts open looking for swallowed treasure.
Yes, the Gospels preach peace, but it wasn't Muslims who manned the gas chambers at Belsen.
Yes, the Torah preaches peace (in a kind of 'eye for an eye' stone them to death, way) but that didn't help the Muslims in Shatila camp when the Israeli army held the door so Christians could do the killing.
There is nothing wrong with being a Muslim. There is nothing which predisposes Muslims to be killers. The problem is nutters. We need to get the nutters and we need to strengthen those Muslims who want to liberate and modernise their religion - they DO exist.
The problem is that the misguided powers that be in the UK have followed an obviously misguided policy of multi-culturalism. There is no room for a multitude of cultures and communities in a single nation. There is only "the community" with a shared and common interest. Those ho do not share those common values are free to leave or face the consequences.

You're an idiot. However you have a brain, a brain you didn't use effectively but a brain nonethless, use it.

Grow up and release it's human nature that's has been the flaw for mankind since the beginning, replacing this with any faith, colour etc just means you are avoiding the actual problem and thus avoiding the solution.

How can you condemn all Muslims for the acts of a few who have a twisted faith in Islam. If Islam was as savage as you're trying to imply we should all give up now because they'd all be terrorists. Just because someone professes a belief in a religion it doesn't mean they follow the teachings of that religion. They exercise their own interpretation of it and use it to excuse or justify their actions. Look at the Catholic church and their policy of hiding child abuse over many, many years.

What about the IRA, UDA and ETA? The Qur'an says no such thing.

Allah says:

5:32 That if anyone slays a human being-unless it be [in punishment] for murder or for spreading corruption on earth-it shall be as though he had slain all mankind; whereas, if anyone saves a life, it shall be as though he had saved the lives of all mankind.

Everyone should be accepted. Whatever country of origin, ethnicity, sexual orientation or gender. Whatever you believe about people who are differnt to yourself, God's command is to show love, even if that love is not returned. Jesus said more than turn the other cheek, he said to give water to an enemy, to bless them even if they curse you. He said "do not resist the evil man." Followers of Jesus fight their battles with love, not bullets, or vindictiveness, or hatred. No-one can use these and claim to follow Jesus.

Love all, forgive all, show mercy, judge no-one
