Why do you women insist on wearing so much make-up? What ever happend to "natural beauty"? I mean, you don't see guys go out and getting all dollied up to impress someone. All that black crap around your eyes and some put so much on that it makes them look like a clown. And if you're going to make out, it rubs of on the guy.

omg i love putting on makeup, its like a beautiful mask to hide your ugly face, well thats what it feels like....
makeup can really look gorgeous if you do it the right way, like a cover up that exactly matches your skin tone. Its better than looking like an orange, right? I love that "black stuff" around my eyes, i have blue eyes and the makeup makes them stand out more. Believe me, if a girl knows how to put on makeup without looking like a tramp, it's so worth it.
We look up to al those beautiful girls in the magazines and shows but what people don't realize is that proffesionals are doing it, and that its also done by computar. We feel the need to look like them because girls are commercialized way too much.

Lots women/girls wear too much makeup, but a lot do not. I wear eye makeup and that's it. I need to because my eyelashes are a light color. They're long, just light. Plus, I seem to look like a young boy when I don't wear make up. My husband said so.
Plus it helps us feel "prettier" and more feminine.
So get over it, or find girls who wear little or none and stop worrying about the ones who cake it on. That's their problem.

Some girls don't have natural beauty, some girls do but want to enhance it, and some girls just like the idea of make up. On the whole, I think it is mainly because it is what is socially expected of us. I'm one of those girls who have been told their whole lives that they don't need make up. However, in the work force, those who do wear makeup are perceived as being more capable than are those of us who don't.

Hey you're preaching to the converted buddy, I don't wear any. But I guess it's cuz the media is making girls feel inadequate or ugly, after all magazines are no help, either they are reccomending make up brands or retouching everyone in it to perfection. So I guess it makes girls feel like they should look like that so boys can like them. It could also just be that they see everyone wearing it so they start to, or they wear it once and get compliments then they can't go back to all natural without lookin washed out.

I don't really wear much make-up and i can go out without any on and feel completely comfortable and confident. Some ppl are are not like me though and are insecure about how they look without it, they may have been bullied about their looks in school so it helps their self-esteem to wear it. Some of my friends say if they don't wear any then they feel naked so i s'pose it's their way of hiding behind something so ppl can't see the real you.

I agree with the natural deal. It is ok to wear make-up but why so much. I am a 14 year old girl and I wear very little make-up. Just enough to cover up my break outs, maybe a little gloss on the lips but thjat is all unless I am going somewhere fancy.

I hear you and I totally agree. What indeed ever happened to natural beauty.
I'll tell you exactly what happened to it!
Tabloid and gutter press thats what! That and Cleo, Girlfriend magazine etc.
Telling girls they have to look a certain way, dress a certain way, make up their faces a certain way... etc.
I miss natural beauty, I love the female form, all those curves and such.
Girls/Women/Ladies etc- we men beg you- come out from behind your artificial masks and present to us as we present to you! Un-made up and natural!

definantly!! i think of human beings might nicely be so plenty extra pleasing without makeup and makeup is fairly a mask that maximum folk conceal at the back of. i might desire to declare i choose i had the arrogance to not placed on makeup! you bypass female! :)

Some women feel that the makeup just hides whatever is ugly or not pleasent to see. Also because women feel they look more attractive to men when men see the makeup them and not the natural them that is why us women always have on makeup.

I don't know, I stopped wearing makeup a year or so ago, and I love it. Not only does it save time and money, but it's so much better for my skin. I get compliments all the time.
