Does the hard disk already contain data? If yes, have you backed up all your important data?

u can format ur hard derive as
METHOD 1-first format all derive except c
then format c derive
METHOD 2- format by window cd .whenever u insert then it ask for formatting to which derive ,u select all & get result in some minute

ntfs or fat32, go with the ntfs
