i have a goatee and the hair is just sort of being a bunch of whiskers. how do i soften it up? (home remedies encouraged but anything u know of is fine)

I am 40 y/o and I have had a goatee for most of my adult life. I have found not only conditioner helps keep the hair on my face soft but also a conditioning grooming wax has worked quite well for me as well. The nice thing about the wax is that when you comb it in you can keep it on your face longer than regular hair conditioner. It really does help soften stiff facial hair.

Some suggested remedies are that are cheap and easy and are as follows:-
Bone dry a few orange peal and powder it fine. Mix a table spoonful in some unprocessed (unboiled) fresh milk . Apply on your face. Wash off and the shave.
If available unpeal a leaf of Alovera and extract the pulp. Apply on the face. Wash off and the shave.
Either of the above two processes you use you will find the difference.
Whenever your shave after either of the above processes use warm water to moisten your face and make rich lather with a brush and use your fingers to massage it into the roots of your beard. Then shave.

shampoo and conditioner while your in the shower treat it like your hair...it will make it softer and comb it out with a fine comb

Olive oil, coconut oil, (after showering is best), conditioner, leave-in conditioner, body butter, or you could just shave.

i suggest gently rubbing it against the belly of a young baby seal, followed by a quick wash in some volcano juice
