My life will end soon 8 to 13 months i was told today.
The cancer is very bad.
How should I expect to feel during treatment?
What side effects, if any, can I expect to have?

Each treatment is different. Some will make you sick, some wont. Some will cause you to lose your hair, some wont. During your treatment you will feel fine. It's the next day or two when the side effects kick in that you should worry about. The side effects depend on the type of chemo given.

Man, as much as I know and I'm a doctor, we can not
exactly predict how long will some one live!
Cancers are very different and so are the treatments.
If you're going under chemotherapy, first of all remember,
you're going on a war with malignant cells. Just like a war,
be positive, be strong, smile, yes I mean it, smile, look at the
miror everyday and thank yourself for whatever you've done
in your life until now and be proud of them and decide to be
better and better every day. Remember, just yesterday, we
heard that genetic medicine could cure two cases of worst
type of skin cancer. Change in medicine is a rule.
You may experience some gastrointestinal discomfort, but
today chemotherapy drugs are much better and have much less side effects.
If you're going under a radio therapy, that's again a war against malignant cells by a different mean. You may not like some changes in the color of your skin after radiotherapy but it's
worth a good quality of life.
After both treatments, many and many of malignant cells will
be killed, so after a little while you'll feel better. Try to walk as
much as you can. Avoid stress that can weaken your immune system, instead, drink water, do some kind of light sports after
consuling with your doctor and more important than all, believe
you can win the war with malignant tumors. What do you like to do the most? What is the biggest joy of life for you? Do it, and see how much better and stronger you feel. Of course don't smoke and drink alcohol please.:)
The rule of fighting a cancer means your immune system and medicines try to eradicate the bad cells. Help them by praying, exercising - just after consuling with your doctor - and staying happy.
I pray for you. Man, be strong, fight the cancer, and come back here and tell us you're better. I'm waiting to hear from you.

as what skill9822 said, be positive and be happy always.. my sis got sick with leukaemia, there were many days she felt like crap but she tried to stay as positive as she could.. chemo is horrible you may not be able to hold your meals down at times.. you'll get mood swings.. but whatever the side effect is you MUST overcome it.. don't think of how much time you have left, just think of getting better and enjoying life again.. don't give up without a fight.. gd luck my friend..

I am so sorry to hear this and I will be praying for you..
You should really go to a cancer center for americans if you have the insurance. If not please try to take vitamins while you are doing your treatment and think positive this really could help you fight off the cancer. I wish I know what vitamins and herbs to tell you to take but please try to look them up. God Bless

The cancer is very bad ???What cancer are you talking about? And whats this 8 to 13 months deadline??(no pun intended)No one can predict that and if a Doctor has I would chose another one ASAP and get started in a Clinical Trial (Lance Armstrong)and keep the faith. And if your BS us dude you should be ashamed of yourself !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
