It's an easy way to have dinner ready when you get home from work and school. Pretty much you throw everything in before you leave for work and set it on low. Or if you have a smart crock it will turn it to warm after the desired cooking time is up. Check out the sites below for recipes.

They're super easy.
Plug it in. Set it to slow cook for a long time (usually 4, 6 or 8 hours). Put some chopped vegetables in (I always include potatoes with others). Place meat in (pot roast, chicken, pork, etc). Add water or broth (Important step). The amount of liquid you add will make the difference between a roast with some gravy or stew. Season with salt, pepper and whatever else floats your boat, then check it for tenderness when it becomes really aromatic. Everything should end up extremely tender. Good luck!

You could get a recipie book for inspiration, but you either put meat in raw or cooked into slow cookers and cook away for 8 hours
