Yes, they are a pair of small cakes that have been baked. The amount of preservatives almost makes them seem like they have not been 'cooked'

The filling is a mystery to me, and I have a degree in culinary arts!!

Actually, and I'm not making this up. The're grown on trees in a Twinkie orchard. The little holes are where they are attached to the branch.

It doesn't matter. Twinkies are not just for breakfast, any more. I was interested to hear that they have gypsum on them.

Yes, they are made of sponge cake. The cream is added after it is baked and cooled.

yes they are i seen it on food network they are baked and then the filling is put in them ( you can see the spots under them where the filling is put in them}
