how many are already screaming coincidence or percentages or law of averages, I know what you mean, i have seen with my own two eyes several absolute miracles, one was in a room full of teens stuffing newspapers who liked to make the odd crack about my Christian music until something supernatural happened in front of all of them, God isn't hiding or dead people.

Prayer is not a magic formula it is actually talking with God, and like talking to your friends, it is up to the person you are talking with to decide if they are going to do what you ask them to.

It is true that God answers all prayers, and sometimes (Or is it many times) He will answer it in a way that we didn't think He would, or in a way we didn't want Him to. Dependent on what you believe in God will then depend on if you accept His answer, or reject God. Your first responder sends you to a web site that is suppose to that prove that God doesn't answer prayer, but all it does is show that God will answer the prayer as he sees fit.

God can, and does answer prayers, He also knows alot more about everything that is happening so that He will answer the prayer in the best way.

Human's need structure. They need rules to live by. They need to be told what they like. Who to love and most importantly what to believe. They need this because if they really looked at their place in the universe they would understand how truely insignificant they are.

They created religion to give them all these things. But there are still many things they refuse or can't understand. Thus they need prayer. Prayer gives them the chance to express their needs privately and hope that they will come true. If they come true god is great. If they don't god is still great and he has a reason.

Me? I am praying to win the Powerball lottery. I will let you know how that turns out.

Let's look at this logically. Brenda lives in California and is asking God to intercede on her behalf, she wants a diamond ear ring. Suffi lives in Iraq and prays to God for enough food to eat, and that she may get to school safely the next day. I think so far nothing impossible is being stated. Suffi ends up going to bed hungry, the next morning on the way to school she is maimed for life in a car bomb explosion. Brenda wakes up and walks to school the same morning. She sees something glittering in the gutter. She bends down and investigates. Low and behold, she finds a diamond ear ring. Oh! by the way, Sufi is Christian, very devout, one of the few Christians in her country. Was a prayer answered here? You can bet Brenda will be telling her story for as long as she lives. Suffi, will suffer for as long as she lives. Who's prayer was answered? Or were they both just coincidence?

People only consider the things that happen in their lives. If you consider the number of Christians in this country alone, and think of the millions of prayers going to heaven every day. How can anyone believe that any are being answered, the world would be totally different than it is, if God only answered a tiny fraction of the prayers offered up.

By telegraph. That's why prayers aren't answered. We're sitting down here talking and god is up there waiting for the beep beep beeeeep beeeep beep. So, if you want your prayers answered, you gotta learn Morse Code first.

As Carl Sagan once said, "If you want to save your child from polio, you can pray or you can innoculate. Try science."

The point being, even *if* there were a "god" (which there isn't), prayer is laziness and begging. You will accomplish more by getting off your rump and working. We didn't learn how to farm, invent, build, or learn by sitting around wishing for it; humans accumulated their knowledge by studying and working.

And *if* there were a "god" for what other reason were we "given" the brains and ability to do things? A "god" that rewards sycophants and mendicants over people who act isn't one worth believing in.

"Prayer is the act by ability of which the will of the father and the will of the youngster are introduced into correspondence with one yet another. the article of prayer is to no longer exchange the will of God yet to safeguard for ourselves and for others advantages that God is already prepared to offer yet that are made conditional on our inquiring for them." -Prayer, LDS (Mormon) Bible Dictionary as quickly as we pray, that's the way we domesticate our relationship with God. frequently the reason He needs us to ask Him isn't because of the fact He would not understand our desires, yet extremely it is so we study to place self assurance in Him. Many prayers at the instant are not resolved interior the way we would like because of the fact we don't completely understand what's ultimate. case in point, if there became no evil, there could be no opposition, and if there is not any opposition, there could be no checking out, and if no checking out, no place for enhance. We grow to be extra helpful human beings while in complicated situations; if we are coddled like toddlers continuously, this existence is mindless.

how do you know that they arent answered?

prayers need two things. faith and the action that comes with the prayer. when i say action, it is the things that you are doing so that you're prayer can be answered... say you pray that you'll have good grades, then you study.

You see, prayers need a combination of God's response and your response. the faith lies in trusting God to help you when you've done youre best.
