The Jewish people were once holy because they were set apart by God from the rest of the peoples of the Earth. I am not sure if this definition would apply to the Christian Gentiles in the same way. There are many definitions of the word holy I am not exactly sure what the correct one is.

what is holy? is it following your faith without question or is it that you following all the traditions and teachings of a certain religion?

for me, those people who dedicate their lives in changing our world and doing the best they can be. those are the holy ones. we can learn from them how to make our lives better and how to improve the way we live in this world.

pope john paul, mother theresa, allah, Jesus, mohamed, ghandi, etc. all wanted our lives to be better. they showed the way to perfection. what it is to serve and what it is to be holy.
