. Yet Jesus made many promises concerning his return during the lifetime of his then followers. (Matthew 16:28: “There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom”. Matthew 23:36, 24:34, Mark.9:1, 13:30, Luke 9:27, 21:32 & John 21:22) None of these prophecies have come true. Does this not make Jesus a false prophet? If so wouldn’t that make Christianity invalid?

My Bible studies are from the New Living Translation. It is much easier to understand. You must read the books you mentioned entirely to keep the meaning in context. When Jesus speaks of death, He is not referring to physical death. He promised his followers eternal life of their souls for believing in Him. Jesus was telling his disciples how He would die and rise from the dead. Jesus always taught in parables. When Jesus said "this generation" will not die before His return, He means this age, or this nation. He said that His kingdom would not be established on earth until all nations had been told the Good News. This does not mean that every person will be told, or that everyone will believe in Jesus Christ. I read recently that as of now, all nations had been told the news about Jesus except 2. It could be getting near, but it will come in God's time, not ours.
The passage in John refers to Jesus telling Peter, concerning another disciple, "If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you?" Jesus did not say that anyone would remain alive until He returned, but because of this statement, the rumor persisted among the community of followers.
So, to answer your question, no, Jesus is not a false prophet and Christianity is not invalid.

If there was no Resurrection of Christ then there is no hope of any of us being resurrected. His death on the cross would have been for nothing...is what Paul is saying.

When Christ was offered the sponge with the wine in it, while He was on the cross, after he said, "I thirst", was tantamount to the 4th cup that is part of the Jewish Passover Sader meal. At the "Last Supper" they abruptly ended the Passover meal with the "Cup of Blessing", or 3rd cup. It was incomplete.

Jesus told the Apostles He would not drink of the vine again until they saw Him come into His Kingdom. When He drank from the sponge on the cross Jesus said, "It is finished" and that ushered in the Kingdom of God and Christ took control of death, especially when He descended into Hell and took the keys.

Once again... this is a subject that requires a little study which is obvious you've done none. You say none of those prophecies have come true, when in fact they ALL have come to pass.

I in basic terms decide to appreciate if the atheist can actually supply the perfect answer as they're so specific that God did no longer create existence? - i can teach that the biblical version is a myth. All of genesis became plagiarized from the Sumerian pills having no longer something to do with deities so "god arising existence" is a myth. - As to proving the place existence got here from, we settle for a organic technique because of the fact that that has evidence. A deity magically forming existence is a myth because of the fact which you have yet to coach a deity exists and that what youi use as a evidence is a properly shown myth. - There you have actual evidence and evidence and no hypothesis.

When Jesus said that, did he say anything about a specific time and date?

What is really the meaning of a lifetime? The better question should be, did you ever felt that having the faith that Jesus taught his apostles and disciples, you are already having Christ within you?

It's a matter of faith my friend. Never misunderstood the bible. It has so many items and sentences that should not be understood lightly. it must be reflected and discerned so that you can understand the essence of what the Bible is saying.

Personally, I dont' really care for Catholic and Christian Beliefs that embrace the Bible so intently.

Theoretically, you could have a Jesus Christ Figure already present. If you pay attention to the singer Madonna (Virgin Mary), she was born 8/16. Steve Carell was the "40 Year Old Virgin" born on the same date. So you see a Virgin Theme.

James Cameron (JC = Jesus Christ) was born 8/16 as well. He cast Leo DiCaprio born 11/11. Aquarius is the 11th Sign and we're moving into the Age of Aquarius. Opposite of Aquarius is Leo on the 12-Slice Zodiac Pie Chart.

One of the things that James Cameron did was give a Fictitious name for "Titanic" to keep people from snooping around or prying. So if there really was a Jesus Christ figure and God is supposedly "All-Knowing," then you can argue that God would've already known about the Paparazzi and all the problems that would come with having a Jesus Christ Child born.

So just like in the "Da Vinci Code," it would make sense to keep Jesus Christ hidden during his formative years until the appropriate time.

Notice that in "Dogma" you have a Female God, in "Da Vinci Code," it's a Female Jesus Christ, and Steve Carell is a 40 Year old Male Virgin Mary.

All the Genders a flipped around.

If the Genders are flipped around, then it means that the Virgin Mary is male, which would actually fit the "Immaculate Conception Riddle."

Any woman who claims she's the Virgin Mary would be branded a liar and the child supposedly being Jesus Christ would be claimed as having a human father even if no one is able to locate that individual.

If you have a Male Virgin Mary, it fits the Riddle because everyone would have to concede that there's no way for a human male to impregnate a human male.

Humans "impregnate each other with thought" so that they "give birth" or "conceive" ideas.

If Jesus Christ is an ideal and the concept of a "Male Virgin Mary" is an idea, then that would qualify as being impregnated with thought and where the Male, who is a Virgin remained a Virgin.

Taking it a step further, the 14th Amendment of the United States grants the protection of a "Legal Body" for a Corporation. So if that Virgin Male creates a "Jesus Christ Corporation" where that Company called "Jesus Christ" is the Legal Body, that would qualify as an Immaculate Conception.

It may seem like a perversion of Scriptures and Religion, but you can thank Lawyers that perverted the 14th Amendment for the Corporation.

Even if people find this blasphemous, the 1st Amendment of the United States protects the Male Virgin Mary.

If the Virgin Mary is human and the Sun in our Solar System symbolizes God, the offspring would logically be a hybrid of the two. So you could argue that the Earth technically qualifies as the Physical Body of Jesus Christ with a tiny human as a Virgin Mary and the Sun being the one to conceive the Planet.

Taking it a step further, there's still the mystery of how Jesus Christ would supposedly have any influence. Even if you could prove that Jesus Christ exists, why should anyone listen?

If Jesus Christ is a Planet Earth, that Electromagnetic Field functions on the same principles as the Electrical Field in the Human Brain creating Consciousness of Thought with Humans as Planet-Sized Brain Cells interconnected in the same way.as individual brain cells.

If God is the Forest, Humans would be the 7 Billion Trees that make up the Forest. If God is the Digital Image, Human Beings would be the 7 Billion Pixels that make up that image.

The "Da Vinci Code" drops hints about how there's a Mathematical Encryption Code used to hide the identity of Jesus Christ. It would make sense that a similar Encryption Code would be placed there if God was a Computer Programmer.

If God is supposedly All-Knowing, then God would've already known about the Internet, Math, Electromagnetic Fields, Human Anatomy, Local Area Networks, and computers.

With everyone swimming around in that Electromagnetic Field serving as a Local Area Network, it means that everyone's eyes and ears serve as Planetary Surveillance Cameras monitoring everything you say and do.

That's how you'd get the "God is watching you" Theory able to co-exist with science.

If people want to talk about Heaven and Hell, that is scientifically possible. Using Centrifugal Force, you can use Polarization to determine whether a person's soul is "heavy" to wear it will polarize toward the center of the Earth with its Iron Core or if it's "light" to where it will rise up to the Stratosphere, which would be Heaven and a front row seat to the Cosmos.

You see people talk about their out of body experience where they're floating upward from their body when they get separated. The Earth is spinning thousands of miles per hour. If you're rising upward it means you're moving away from the Planet. If you go back down to your body, you can get reinserted.

If you're "bad" or have a heavy soul, you'll go downward toward the Iron Core. It's harder to pull away from the Iron Core and if you get locked down as an Electrical Soul, you'll have less mobility than when you're further away from the Planet where you can "float like angel" helping people in Spirit Form.

Notice that theme about Hell having Fire. The Core of the Earth has all that Magma. That would be the equivalent of being stuck or trapped in a "Magnetic Hell."

Getting back to the Jesus Question, it's possible that Jesus or an idea of Jesus is floating around and just hasn't manifested itself in the public or mainstream society yet.

However, with the advent of the Internet, hourly news reports, and Blogging, it could be very easy for a Jesus Christ Figure or Deity to step forward at any given time.

This wouldn't have been possible 30 or 40 years ago. Any Jesus Christ figure stepping forward would've just fallen into obscurity.

So the conditions for a Jesus Christ figure to manifest are ripe.

The amusing part is that Catholics and Christians should be careful what they wish for. What if it turns out that the Jesus Christ figure that surfaces doesn't embrace the Bible or Religious Ideals?

It would create a terrible upset with the Church. This comes back to the movie of the "Da Vinci Code" why it would make sense for Jesus Christ to hidden away.

If Jesus Christ manifested in childhood, what if Jesus Christ was born in the United States? The Middle East would be angry and blame the U.S. for "poisoning the mind" of Jesus Christ with "sick American Ideals."

There are so many different religions that if Jesus Christ surfaced as a child, Religious Denominations would all argue on what Jesus Christ's Education should be. Some would say Jesus Christ should memorize everything in the Bible, another would say the Koran, etc.

It would be a Social Catastrophe. So it would only make sense that if a Jesus Christ figure does exist, he or she would remain hidden away until reaching maturation to be Intellectually Dominant as well as prove he or she is Intelligent enough to win over the Skeptics and Critics from the Scientific and Religious Communities.

Matthew 16:28 states, "Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom." Parallel passages are found in Mark 9:1 and Luke 9:27. The key is found in what immediately follows each of these verses. Jesus calls Peter, James, and John, takes them up to a high mountain and is transfigured before them while Moses and Elijah come down to discuss His coming death. Consider the things that point to this being the event Jesus referred to in Matthew 16:28.

Jesus "was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light" (Matthew 17:2). This matches the glorified appearance of Christ in Revelation 1:13-18 where "his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength" (Revelation 1:16).
Of Moses and Elijah, the Bible says that they "appeared in glory" (Luke 9:31). They did not just appear in a natural way but "in glory." Colossians 3:4 states, "When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory." This points directly to the coming of Christ in glory (Matthew 24:30).
When the disciples awoke, they looked at Christ and "saw his glory" (Luke 9:32). This is a very powerful statement. They saw the glorified Christ. They saw Him as King of Kings.
A cloud overshadowed them and the Father said, "This is my beloved Son: hear him" (Luke 9:34-35). This too points to the presence and glory of God in fullness and power.
Jesus told them not to tell of the vision until He had risen from the dead (Matthew 17:9). Ths vision was not for the time that Jesus walked on the earth before His crucifixion. It was a glimpse of His coming kingdom.

Peter, James, and John received a vision of the future kingdom and glory of Christ. They saw Him coming in His kingdom. It was to this event that Peter referred when he said, "For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount." (2Peter 1:16-18). These three men were eyewitnesses of the majesty of "the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ."

You are like the Pharisees who heard with their ears but did not percieve, Jesus did exactly that and His SPIRITUAL Kingdom stands all around you right now, In the upper room in Acts 2 the disciples experienced the beginning of His Kingdom and its government will have no end. you try to understand spiritual words with a lifeless heart, repent and be filled with the Spirit and you too will understand.

2 peter 3:16

He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.

Your understanding is invalid.

Christ actually never promised His return during their lifetimes.

The apostle Paul thought so because he saw the Roman empire as the empire of the Anti-Christ.

I read the entire chapter and it just does not say he will return during their lifetimes...

Sorry buddy you got it wrong, way wrong...
