I couldn't believe that moron from South Carolina. "All indicators show that education in SC is doing great!". What about being dead last in SAT scores? "Oh, that's not a good indicator."
W THF????
Or the Unions in NY?! That is a COMPLETLY jacked up school system.
I WANT SCHOOL CHOICE AND I WANT IT NOW!!!!!!
What was the crazy ***** in Florida saying? There's no proof that school vouchers work? and it may topple the system? WTF was she smoking? Just look at Belgium, it's OBVIOUSLY working!!!
This isn't effing rocket science. Our school system is broke. We do not have to reinvent the wheel to fix to it, we only have to look at other models that work, and copy them!!

You apparently have the benefit of having parents who care enough to take the time to be involved in your education, in this case by homeschooling you.
I think John Stossel stopped short in his program and didn't say what needs to be said. That is that education is a triangle of responsibility. The teachers share responsibility with the parents and the students. If the parents and the students don't take their share of the responsibility, the triangle will collapse, no matter how good the teachers are. Even the best of the best cannot educate a child who does not want to be educated and who sees no value in being educated.

I really don't understand what your question is. If your writing is the product of public schools or homeschooling, it seems to me that they have both done you an incredible disservice, because this rant is not the type of writing one would expect from anyone above the age of 10.

there's an analogous communicate over right here in Germany, in keeping with undesirable consequences on a worldwide assessment attempt ("Pisa-attempt"). area of the project the two German and US babies face is their loss of exposure to foreign places languages interior the media. babies uncovered to foreign places language television publicizes with subtitles of their community language have a lots bigger examining skill or language skill, whichever comes greater ordinary, than monolingually entertained little ones. examining skill is a key to gaining wisdom of skill. yet another project are events which uninteresting the concepts extremely than stimulate them. Like observing countless sketch shows on television instead of doing some thing interactive, or like addictive use of shooter video games, beverages or drugs, or procuring and discussing manufacturers. destructive impression from gangs or cliques adverse to training creates social imbalances, too. final not least parental care suffers while the two mum and dad are too overworked and/or too below-knowledgeable to inspire the "academic" pastimes of the youngsters. a private college won't resolve the project IMO. undesirable public colleges are as lots a social project as a economic and workers project. toddler care accompanying consumer-friendly college efforts has a greater physically powerful danger to alter the craze IMO.

its ok if your homeschooled. because its more easier for you to understand the lecture or those kind of stuff. but there are also some things that are learned outside the four walls of the house. you get to communicate to other people and make friends. my next door neighboor's children are all homeschooled but it seems that they're afraid to other people. i babysat them once and tried to get them out of the house, you know, just going to the park. they just stood there. they just play by themselves not minding other people.
