Okay here is the scenario...There I was in the living room exhausted after a hard day's work and I was just relaxing. It had been around 95 degrees outside. My girlfriend comes in with a soda for me but when I started to drink it, it was at room temperature...WTH!??! The woman was too lazy to put ice in it so I said sweetie come back here and when she did I smacked her hand and said I told you about doing that - this drink isn't cold. Then she started crying and saying she was just trying to be nice. I thought that was bs. She burned dinner the night before and then loaded the dishwasher wrong the week before that. I feel that if I am putting in 50 plus hours at work she needs to do her job. Am I right?

It was idiotic on your part to do that to your gf. She was trying to be nice to you. As such she is not obliged to be at your beck and call. You are citing other examples too which means the frequency does not seem to match. Review the friendship, I strongly feel so. Outside was 95 degree, it was not she who has done it. On the contrary you raised the temperatures further.

Hey, she got you a drink! If you want to be picky about it, get it yourself. Don't forget that you don't get to be a caveman just because you work.
I work over 50 hours a week too and still do the dishes and cook and clean, etc. because my wife likes to see that I care about her more than me just plopping down and relaxing. NEVER underestimate the power of a little romance.
Also, don't get into a habit of abuse. I'm sure you think it's a small thing, but you will de-sensitize yourself to doing that and it could easily evolve to where you are asking us if it's okay you gave her a black eye because she didn't put the macaroni and cheese away or something.
Always be thankful for a good woman...trying as she is, though you see it as failing somewhat, is still a beautiful thing.

How would you feel if some one were to smack your hand?I know your a perfect person just by you ability to justify all your actions. If your girl friend is smart she will pack her bags and let the door smack her on the butt on the way out.

U shd be sorry for that act it happens but u cd be going over board my friend,u ar either stressed or she irritates u in a way,try do it urself she will feel guilty and she will change be noble she is human talk to her on what u want led by example there u go make her world

yea it was wrong to smack her hand you should tell her that you are tired you work a lot and when you get home want to relax and have things right but also control your temper when you see something wrong tell her but don't yell at her or do anything to her just tell her in a calm way she also has i hard time trying to have everything right for you when you come home from work.

Wow. I hope you are kidding. If you aren't, well it was a cruddy thing to do. If she wasn't trying to be nice to you, you'd be getting your own soda. Try not to be such a jerk in the future.
What's even sadder is that you seem to be the type of jerk that would expect such things of her even if she were working.

If she is doing it wrong why don't you get off your lazy butt and do it yourself? At least it will be done right the first time. Soon she is going to resent you for what you are doing.

well, if she is not working then yes she should do her part. But remember the little things that you want her to do for you that make you happy, or are how you like things, make sure you return the respect and showings of love to her and her likings also.
