Yes, it was given to us, but it became infested with unwholesome things while we were away...

We're still trying to resolve this issue...

Yeah He did make a covenant with Abraham...that the land would be promised to his descendents (whether they are Jew, Christian, Muslim, or whatever). Arabs are descended from Abraham's other son, Ishmael / Ismail, so they too have a right to the land. Most israelis are descendents the "khazar" people of turkic (non-semitic) descent who converted to judaism, and therefore do not have have a claim to the land. Most Muslims and Christians in the world cannot trace their lineage back to Abraham and could not even attempt to claim palestine for themselves, even though their religious roots can also be traced to him. But people get confused with the jews because "jewish" is both a race and a religion. Also, many israelis are actually secular and live on non-religious, communist-style "kibbutzim," or communities. I mean if they moved to palestine to claim their geographic ties to their religion which they don't believe in...what's the point?

The bible can't be used to make international policy. The muslims feel that it is their holy land, and it says in their book it was given to them. So are we going to judge one text over the other? Absolutely not. Personally, I don't know what should be done with Israel, but I know using a religious text as basis is wrong.

Given by whom? The UN created the state but they want more. The palestinians also have a right to that land. God must really be crazy giving that land to the Israelites, there were people there before them.
