Afghanistan. I'm Canadian, and we have troops in Afghanistan supporting the USA's efforts. We don't have any in Iraq because we did not believe that there were any WMD's over there and we wanted to help with the war on terror, but not the war on Saddam.

Well...its IRAQ....because of OIL. Afghanistan was just a response to 9/11. US has only few troops in Afghanistan to hunt down OSAMA BIN LADEN and co, while the NATO is taking care of the law and order. Afghanistan is no more a threat and is not much important. BUT IRAQ IS $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

depends on what your goals are? Iraq is central in the middle east and if you have democracy there people around them will be exposed to it and hopefully like the freedom and start to change their own contries. Democratic and educated counties for the most part do not start wars..( i know the us does) I am talking for the most part. It is called the heartland theory and was thought up many many years ago.70's i think. It was just never attempted we went and tried to appease the governments of the middle east and look where that got us. Maybe this is not the right way but atleast it is a different approach then what we have been doing for the last 35 years. That approach did not work either. I like the afghans because they seem to do a better job of trying to make their country better. Iraq has to many divisions in it and they do not get along. I think we should put our efforts where we are appreciated.

They should have concentrated in Iraq instead and put more troops in there to capture the most wanted man alive. Iraq's never been a threat to the U.S. and Saddam Hussein actually hated Osama Bin Laden.

Silly guy. Do you really believe that the U.S. military involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan is about fighting terrorism or capturing/killing Osama Bin Laden?!?! How naive you are.

Ask yourself this, strategically, who would benefit most if we pull out of Iraq? Yes, Iran would love us to leave, then they would go in and set up shop. Not good. So I say we stay in both, but especially Iraq!
