He was but like you, I never saw it come out of his mouth. Diego still sucks and will get his *** beat if he tries to take on the top 3, St. Pierre, Penn, or Hughes. He needs to be humbled already!

They do stop the fight when a fighter loses a mouth piece. However the fighters must be in a neutral position first. Clearly this is to prevent the spitting of a mouthpiece to recover.

Mouthpiece fell out. That's why they got so cautious in the Neer versus Diaz fight at UFC 62.

Mouth guard got knocked out on first punch, the sequent puches made the tooth go bye-bye.
