well to tell you the true is difficult to fine a Thai women that not pro's. if you just visiting for a couple of days. or if you like to meet a regular women make sure they are not young and have job from respective establishment, like the Hotel staff. good luck for looking...

Outside the bar girl scene, Thailand's still a pretty conservative country (I mean that in a good way). Buddhist moral values are very much in operation. If you want a genuine relationship with a good Thai girl its going to take a long time and you're going to need to be a good person throughout. Learning to speak Thai would also be a good idea. If you're looking for a sort term (sexual) relationship with a non-prostitute, like an office girl, maybe Tokyo or Manila would be better/easier places for you. I'm not saying its impossible in Thailand but its going to be tough. Of course, if you're extremely rich it'll be a lot easier but then you've got the problem of being able to tell the good girls from the girls just looking for cash, the 'would you mind to help me pay my rent this month?', etc. girls. The other plus factor you might have is being handsome. Whether its good or not is a different question, but the reality is that being good-looking can make a person's life a lot easier here and open doors that would otherwise be closed.Blues eyes are a plus even if you're no Brad P. You might want to read 'Culture Shock, Thailand' so you have some idea how Thai people think and would like you to speak and behave when in Thailand. It'll also mean you are less likely to blow your chances with a normal Thai girl if you do manage to find one.

Most male tourists will think that all Thai girls are either prostitutes or just looking for an easy-way out with rich foreigner, but if you really spend enough time in this country, you will realize that this is far from the truth. If you have the chance of spending any time in Thailand, you will meet many nice people with very conservative values, in fact way more conservative than many american or western women I know...for sure, there are a lot of working girls out there but there are also a lot of nice, loving, faithful and beautiful women who only dream of finding their Mr. Right, so don't let the first impressions fool you! Problem is, you won't meet them in bars but you will need to be introduced through friends and relatives.

As Spanky said there is good advice and bad advice. I met my girlfriend through an online service. I used www.thaillovelinks.com, there are probably 2 dozen of them. They are listed on www.thaiwebsites.com I think I was lucky, it took almost a 15 months of exchanging emails and visits before she made up her mind. Yes, she wants to marry me, she's 26 and I am 52 so it's not about age. And yes, I will probably marry her. She says that she wants to get married around 30 y.o. Okay!! If you look around Bangkok you don't see alot of men working in the city. Yes, taxi drivers and laborers but, not at the bus stops nor on the subway or skytrain. There is a shortage of men period. If I had a choice to do it a different way, I would go to the bars, not the beer bars. Q-Bar on Soi 11, places like this where you have to pay 600 THB to enter, around USD 15. Then another 2 drinks about USD 5 total for a couple beers. I went with a couple of lady friends and If I did not have my friends with me. There were at least a couple ladies there, I knew I could at least talk to. Bottom line: You could get to know someone in one visit. I think it is better to meet them online and chat with them online if you could. Talk to them on the phone to make sure you can understand each other. And when you do meet, be careful. One thing the others did not mention is they could be a ladyboy, a Katoey, a male in drag. They can be deceiving and dangerous. They can be very pretty but, the honest ones are looking for love too. As you would here, meet in a public place, always for your safety and their comfort. And read what you can about the Thai people so you understand the customs. Good luck.

Entire books have been written about your question, but here is a link to a great submission. I would read the rest of the postings, or at least a good number, as you will discover that many stereotypes of Women from SE Asia are WAY off base.

One IMPORTANT thing to learn: while everyone likes to be treated with respect, the Thai culture is VERY different from that in the West. For example, our (sometimes) upfront and honest approach, even if put diplomatically, can be insulting to a Thai, and losing face is something that they tend to avoid at all costs.

Also among the more conservative Thais, holding hands in public is seen as inappropriate, but this reportedly is changing among the younger generations.

From what I have read from Stickman, if you can find a girl that has spent a good deal of time at a university in America or other western country, this goes a long way to helping your cause as she has been exposed to western culture.

BEWARE of any girl that will jump in bed within a few dates. If she's truly a GTG (good Thai girl), you will have to take your time.

You need to meet her parents on the first date or second. Be polite. Don t express too much affection on first meeting. You should be generous with money. Often her family may need some help. Done that and got the T shirt. Fell in Love with Thai Girl on 1st Trip and for 3 years help support her and her family only to find out that she was seeing other guys. I felt hurt and betrayed but then saw the Light - as I had so many Thai friends and I have always been open and Honest with them . The Girls to not want to work in Bars for a long time - they want a husband, if they have not got one already , and they want to make as much money as quickly as possible as they can , Also the Bars put pressure on the girls to have so many Lady drinks a month and so many bar fines a month - if they do not reach these targets - they are sacked and the bar get a new girl. If you have a Bar Girlfriend that you do not want to go with other customers then you come to an agreement with Bar owner, who will make sure she does not go customer only chats them up. You say you are a good looking man ? Not good thing as they think you are a butterfly and at the end of the day looks are not everything. I have been where you are. Understand that she has several guys like you in her life. Quite possibly ten or more. Want to do a test? Don't call her for a week and then call saying you are someone else. There is no way for her to keep all of the names and voices straight. You have to understand something first. 99% of the regular Thai girls only like Thai men and don't want to be friends with foreigners. Families to regular Thai girls will not be happy at all if their daughter get friends with a foreigner. Just find a bargirl. They are used to foreigners, speaks maybe a little english and they are not bad at all. They have also been "regular" girls before they enter the bar scene. Dont be afraid.
