There is absolutely nothing wrong with your position and you should diligently persevere in your path.------God looks into our hearts and is not fooled by mere religious affiliation.------Ask God to participate even more in your life and clearly reveal the true spiritual reality which is beyond sense perception and transcends all religions and philosophies.------God will show you who you really are and fill your heart and mind with eternal happiness.------Forget the superficiality of the masses, don't dwell on it as it only makes the heart sore, and go with God.------Bless you. Philip.

Do not judge the religion by a single person or a couple of people. There is too much of that crap going around already. You can have your belief and the only label you need is "believer." You can go to church, but keep in mind the church is not for the good people or the well people, IT IS FOR THE SIN SICK, so the people that you have talked to are struggling to get it right. The people who donot believe look at the church, and see imperfect people and say to themselves (usually with a sigh of relief) AHA!! See how they act?? They are no better than I am, and probably worse!! But they haven't looked deeper, and seen the people who will read the bible daily, many times a day, and work very hard to abide by what it says and what it means. When they do find people like that, they can be just as cruel as the people you met. I like your faith and your thoughts about things. If you ever want to talk, drop me a line. True believers always offer encouragement to each other. That is what we are supposed to do.

Being good, going to Church, and believing in God is not enough. These things are good, but no one can be good enough. What makes a true Christian, is having God's Spirit living in you. Jesus said that a person has to become "Born Again", just to be able to see the Kingdom, note that He did not say enter the Kingdom of God. You have to Turn from your sins and receive Jesus as your Savior, then God says that He will give you the gift of the Holy Ghost(Acts 2:38). It is the Holy Ghost that saves you and it is the Holy Ghost that will change your desires so that you will have power over those things that control you. In 1st John, the Bible says that you know that you have passed from death unto life when you have a love for the people of the Church. Please believe that there is nothing that you can do to earn God's forgiveness and that Jesus paid the price of your sins by dying in your place. It is a free gift offered to you. All you have to do is ask and believe. After God gives you His Spirit, then read your Bible. Go to a Church that believes in the Baptism of the Holy Ghost and try to live your life for Jesus. He will come into your life and manifest Himself! He will lead you if you let Him.
P.S. He will do a better job than you could ever do.
Sincerely Yours, Pastor Jeff Ludin, A Friend Of God

The big difference between your friends and you is that they are already full fledged (although imperfect) members of God's church, and able to make peace with God anytime they choose, while you are on the outside looking in, and trying to do your own thing, all by yourself.
Not all Christians are rude, cruel, or hypocritical, but even if they were, that's precisely why they (and you) need a reliable source of God's grace, so that you can someday make a change for the better.
Quit sitting on the fence. Humble yourself before God, and become a member of his church.
Then you can compain to him about all of us hypocrites, and he just might listen, and do something about it.
By yourself, all alone, there's not much chance for anything to improve.

Christians don't have the market cornered on "being a good person, doing good things and helping other people." You don't have to be religious to do those things. So believe what you want, and don't let it run your life, and you should be fine. If you want a label, I'd say you're more spiritual than religious.

Try the term Agnostic. The belief in God, not the church.

One does not need a religion to have a relationship with God. God does not demand anyone follow a religion. Religion is man made, not God made. I dont follow any religion either, just God

I don't think you are wrong. Have you ever looking into the Baha'i Faith? Many of the things which you describe as being important to you , such as avaoiding racism and hypocricy are very importatnt to the practice of the Faith.

If this is honest, you are a good person. You don't need to follow any organized rules, so don't let anyone tell you otherwise. All religious organizations have an agenda and it is not the safety of your soul.

Do not judge a sect by what individuals do. Humans are flawed beings. You can follow Christ without a problem.
