YES. There are a number of different techniques to use, that when combined, can dramatically increase your chances of having a lucid dream. The FIRST thing you have to do before even thinking about lucid dreaming is getting in the habit of remembering your dreams. Think about it....you could have a lucid dream and not even remember it! Once you get to the point where you can remember your dreams every morning then you can move on to more ways. Get a digitial watch: this is your secret weapon. If you are in a dream and you look at the time, the moment you look TWICE the time will change or be altered in some way.....the same is with words. For instance if you look at a poster then look again, if it changes your dreaming. This follows along the lines ofa "reality test", say for instance you look at your watch all the time in reality then look agian....you will also do it in your dream and you might just notice the time altered with ur second look and become lucid! Another tecnique is INTENTION. Before you go to sleep write down on paper 10-15 times "tonight I will have a lucid dream". Just mentally program yourself to have one, set your intentionnnn. I know this is a long answer but I want to provide you with as much information as neccessary to assist you on your journey into the increbile world of lucid dreaming. To gain further knowledge of the concept...I would suggest you watch a movie called " The Waking Life", which you can rent at any blockbuster or video store of your choice. There is also, from which I have personally benefited from on a great scale...THE LUCID DREAMING KIT, all information on this product can be foound at:

This is all I choose to offer at this time. Your welcome.

I like James Riley's suggestions. However, I would like to say that it's not necessary to wait 'til you have succeeded in one thing before moving to the next. Almost everything helps someone in one form or another so it's best to try several different ways to lucid dream.

The best time to have a lucid dream is when you go back to bed after sleeping for approx. 5 hours. Repeating to yourself (or writing it down) that you will have a lucid dream or that you are dreaming increases your chances. These are two well- known and main methods of lucid dreamers- WBTB (Wake Back to Bed) and MILD(Mnemonic Induction of Lucid Dreams).

I would like to include that it's a good idea to know exactly what you want to do when you become lucid; ie fly, morph, etc, since it's common many people seem to forget once they're lucid.

I recommend LD4all.com to everyone interested in lucid dreaming. It has information on numerous types of methods, tips, and a forum.

On what my dreams were about...most of them are just doing stupid things, couple I've flew in, and wasted some just looking around fascinated by the knowledge that I'm in a dream and I can control it. I find talking to my dream characters more interesting many times because so many speak as though they are real and don't seem to understand that they're in my dream. I always assumed they'd dissappear or go along with me or something when I would dismiss them It's more like they come from a totally different part of your mind.

Best of luck to you! Lucid dreaming is an awesome experience.

Yes, I've had many lucid dreams. My favorite ones are the ones where I'm flying and I can control how high and how far I fly. When I first started dreaming of flying a few years ago I would run and stomp really hard on the ground, this would make me go up into the air, but I would just fall after a few seconds. Now, I've learned how to control it. I always run and stomp on the ground. I go flying up really high. I get scared of going to high. I put out my arms and flap them like they are wings. It's amazing. You feel so free!!

I find that i lucid dream the most when i know that i can sleep in but i set a alarm anyway, wake up to it, shut it off without opening my eyes and without saying anything, trying to go back to sleep and it kind of just happens.

Here's one technique. Get in the habit of asking yourself, at least once a day, "am I dreaming?" When you do it in your dream, it triggers the "lucidity."

In addition, after asking yourself "am I dreaming?", find something to read. Look away, then read it again. If the letters have changed, you know you're in a dream.
